Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei Hijacks U.S. Feminists #YesAllWomen Hashtag

When you read through his tweets, it is funny how he tries to express Islam as some kind of misunderstood religion.

This is how a Twitter hashtag dies.

The #YesAllWomen hashtag appeared over the weekend after Friday’s killing spree in Santa Barbara, Calif. Police blamed the killings on 22-year-old Elliot Rodger, a Santa Barbara City College student who had posted disturbing videos to YouTube, including one a day before the shooting that said he intended to kill women — a response to his romantic shortcomings.

Many of the tweets from feminists using the hashtag to express their feelings in the wake of the shooting angered conservatives, who noted an anti-male theme in the conversation.

Then Iran‘s theocratic supreme ruler, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, jumped in Monday.
