California Democrat got a little too creative with his GOP-bashing tweets on Oscar Sunday

The response to this hypocrisy was quick and impressive.

Although it didn’t win any awards at the 86th Annual Academy Awards Sunday night, the Martin Scorsese-Leonardo DiCaprio biopic “The Wolf of Wall Street” managed to nonetheless make waves in the political Twitterverse.

That’s because California Rep. Mark Takano, a Democrat representing the state’s 41st Congressional District, unsuccessfully tried to tie key Congressional Republicans to the movie about the epic rise and fall of Wall Street stockbroker Jordan Belfort.
