Carville: Chris Christie ‘Was Never Going to Be’ the Republican Presidential Nominee

Carville gets one right for once. You can certainly see the ads of Obama and Cristie smiling arm in arm.
Check it out:

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the show’s panel discussed the fallout from the controversy surrounding Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) and his chances for the presidency in 2016. Show panelist James Carville downplayed the effects of the controversy on Christie’s political ambitions, arguing Christie didn’t have a shot at the Republican nomination to begin with.

“Look, my view is different,” Carville said. “I don’t think [the Republicans] were ever going to nominate a global warming loving, Obama hugging, Fort Lee mugging sort of guy. He just didn’t fit the profile. I think this was all some sort of New Jersey and New York Republicans thinking he would be a good candidate.”
