The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has a new ad that uses a “dramatic reenactment” in an effort to turn the tide against Stand Your Ground laws in the United States.
As This Week reports, the ad uses “actual 911 calls from Zimmerman” and mixes them with “a witness re-imagining the incident.”
The video never shows Martin bashing Zimmerman’s head against the pavement, but it does show an actor impersonating Martin, who goes down after being shot and holds up his hand as if to say, “Okay.” The actor falls into a lawn containing 25 other bodies, representing all 26 states with Stand Your Ground laws.
