Harry Reid: Mitch McConnell ‘Tried To Make Love To The Tea Party, And They Didn’t Like It’
Everything comes down to sex with liberals.
Check it out:
The passive aggressive war of words between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell continued on Monday, when Reid said his Republican opponent had “tried to make love to the Tea Party,” but failed.
The two last went at it a fortnight ago, when McConnell concerned-trolled Reid by invoking his opponent’s tombstone in warning him off of filibuster reform.
Reid fired back at an Organizing for Action event on Monday, mocking McConnell for his new, far-right primary opponent. “He tried to make love to the tea party and they didn’t like it,” Reid said, of McConnell’s overtures to the right of his party, which has largely rejected him as an establishment figure (see the campaign of one Paul, Rand).
McConnell also recently gained a Democratic challenger for his Senate seat in Alison Lundergan Grimes.
