Check it out:
The daughter and brother of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar, the woman who died from a botched abortion by Kermit Gosnell, testified against the doctor on Tuesday. Mongar died from an overdose of Demerol, which Gosnell and unlicensed assistants used to anesthetize her.
Mongar and her husband had three children; they came to the United States in 2009 after the government granted them entrance to the country. Prior to that, they were living in a refugee camp in Nepal for over 18 years.
Her daughter, Yashoda Gurung, wanted her mother to have the baby, but Mongar told her it was not possible.
“She said, ‘We’re just getting started here,’” said Gurung.
