Addressing the influence of Christian voters, Sarah Palin argued that the mainstream media ignores and distorts the voting bloc. Appearing on Greta Van Susteren‘s show, Palin argued that the Evangelicals, and Christians in general, are a diverse group of voters, contrary to how she felt they are portrayed.

Palin pointed to the Democratic National Convention, when the “reigning political party” tried to “boot God out of their written platform.” That played a role in riling up some faith-based voters, she asserted.

“It’s very inclusive and quite tolerant as opposed to what the mainstream media wants people to believe about the Christian voting bloc,” Palin said. They want to pretend the voting bloc isn’t there, she added.

Palin further criticized President Obama’s policies that “violate the religious conscience,” referring to the health care law.
