Obama Backs Reid Attempt to End Filibuster

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (R-NV) has a new quest: to rid the Senate of the filibuster, a tool used by minority parties to force compromise. And now he has an ally in that quest: President Barack Obama, the same man who once said that he’d never change the rules of the game simply in order to win the game. So much for that.

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer spilled his guts to the Huffington Post with this charming thuggery: “The President has said many times that the American people are demanding action. They want to see progress, not partisan delay games. That hasn’t changed, and the President supports Majority Leader Reid’s efforts to reform the filibuster process.”
