Obama Omits al Qaeda Claim From Stump Speech

This may be a big development out of the Libya exchange last night. A couple of weeks ago in the President was still saying al-Qaeda is “on the road to defeat” — despite the terror attack in Libya. Yet, today in Iowa the President dropped the al-Qaeda on the run part – and just said the bin Laden is dead part…

“Four years ago, I told you we’d end the war in Iraq, and I did. I said we’d end the war in Afghanistan, and we are. I said we’d refocus on the people who actually attacked us on 9/11 — and today, al Qaeda is on the run and Usama bin Laden is dead. Four years ago, I promised to cut taxes for middle-class families, and we have, by $3,600.”
