Condi: Time To Decide ‘Where Does America Stand?’

Tonight, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice took to the stage of the Republican National Convention and brought the crowd to its feet. In fact, they barely had a chance to sit down. With her emphasis on the great opportunities presented by America and the extraordinary goodness of America, she presented a stark contrast to President Obama’s apparent discomfort with the United States – a place he believes requires fundamental change.

She targeted President Obama’s leading from behind on foreign policy, chided him for abandoning American allies, and his lack of vision on the possibilities America presents. She told her personal story – her journey from poverty in the Jim Crow south to Secretary of State – and visibly moved the audience.
