Public approval of the Supreme Court among both conservatives and independents slipped sharply following the court’s decision last week to uphold Obamacare by a narrow 5-4 vote.
A June 29-30 poll found that 28 percent of voters now say that the court is doing a poor job, up 11 points from a week earlier. Only 33 percent think the court is doing a good or excellent job, down 3 points from the week before.
Among conservative voters, 14 percent said the Supreme Court was doing a poor job a week ago; according to the new poll, 43 percent report that the court is doing poorly.
