Oops: North Carolina Lawmaker Accidentally Legalized Fracking By Pressing Wrong Button

North Carolina State Representative Becky Carney, a staunch opponent of the state’s fracking bill, turned out to be the deciding vote in the matter. No, the bill wasn’t defeated. Turns out, she pressed the wrong button and became the crucial 72nd vote. Yes, really.

Just after the vote, Carney’s voice could be heard on her microphone, saying “Oh my gosh. I pushed green.”
