At the exclusive Punahou School, Obama borrowed notes, was never on the National Honor Society, never ran for student government. But he was a good writer and performed well on tests. “He would not prepare… but knew what he wanted to talk about and was very good at putting it on paper,” said classmate Joe Hanson.
