Top Dem: ‘The Fact is You Don’t Need a Budget’

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said that Congress does not need an official federal budget because it can just adopt appropriations bills and authorization policies as needed to keep operating.
At a briefing with journalists on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Hoyer was asked, “Mr. Hoyer, around the same time of the State of the Union [on Jan. 24], I think it was the same day, Republicans were trying to hit Senate Democrats for 1,000 days without passing a budget, and then you talk about this milestone today, 400 days without a jobs bill in the Republican House. But then on Friday [Democratic Senator Harry] Reid said that he didn’t think they needed to bring a budget to the floor this year [and that] the Budget Control Act can serve as a guideline.”

Hoyer said: “What does the budget do? The budget does one thing and really only one thing: It sets the parameters of spending and discretionary caps. Other than that, the Appropriations committee are not bound by the Budget committee’s priorities.”

    House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) is such a liar and so incompetent it makes me puke. That these politicians, especially the DemonRats, can’t (or won’t) pass a budget is stupidity to the highest degree. And the Senate DemonRats haven’t passed a budget in 1,000 days. That’s outright incompetence. They can’t balance the budget because the DemonRats don’t want to balance the budget. They are so used to spending our tax money like druken sailors that they are so afraid if they balance the budget, or curtail spending, they’ll lose some of their precious money and corrupt power.       Exactly. Why would dems want to set limits on spending. God help us and somehow enable the uninformed open their eyes to what is going on in this country. By the way, recent polls show a 10% approval rating for congress. How about a poll separating Republicans and democrats. Just wondering.

      Now we are getting some where! Yes, a budget would mean accountability and they do not want that word at all. Accountability will also deem that the books show they are bona fide. What I’m trying to say is that without one thing ( a budget document) you don’t need any other documents, like accounts receivable, accounts payable. None of it matters without a budget. It is all one big math equation and all things tie together. We have never been credited for any of the supposed pay backs on bail out loans. Never. No one services the loan, never. We ( the U.S. ) are being short saled right from underneath our feet. Auto bailouts & bank bailouts, BO said with a sadistic grin, “They paid those loans back and are making a profit again.” Oh Please! How could this possibly be a true statement based on how it was said? How? There is NO business, no one has many customers. These loans were resold, refinanced and now are owned by foreign nations. None of them repaid by actually doing business again or by making profits again, they short saled to wipe out their debt and hence the business changed hands. Just like when you short sale your house, or get foreclosed on, some else then owns your house. They refinanced/sold at a lesser amount. Short Sale. No profits. All this is part of what makes up a budget. What actually happens/happened is how you determine what you can do. We need to demand a lot more transparency and accountability then just a budget. If America has no assets, we don’t own anything, it is no problem to become one world order. That is why nothing is getting better and that is why the regulations, legislation, policies, executive orders and mandates keep coming and coming. Destroy your financial means and you are powerless and will believe anything the government tells you to do. Without all the ‘orders’ we would be better already. That is the plan and it seems to be right on course. Follow the money and you will always get your answers. No one is able to pay back anything. Not even the U.S. Government. When our mortgage holders realize this fact, then the doo doo is going to get pretty smelly.

    It’s simple pass legislation that binds the appropriation committees spending to the budget limits set by the budget committees BALANCED Budget. That way the idiots spending spree will be cut off if not in the budget. Hoyer needs to take a course in finance. Can you imagine what a mess his personal finances are? Look at how he spends our money. Bet he don’t spend his own money that recklessly!

    This house minority whip needs to have some education into just what is available to them money wise.
    They, the Democrats ( RATS ) seem to think they can jsut spend, spend and spend some more money without any idea of how to pay for what they have spent. If ” JOHN Q. PUBLIC ” ran their househld budgets in that manner, they would have NO money at the end of the month. Congress is jsut like that right now, with the DEMOCRATS in charge in the Senate and with

    The Balanced Budget Amendment needs to include a provision that if Congress does not have a Budget on the President’s desk by 9:00 am Eastern time on October 1 then all 534 members of the Senate and House of Representatives instantly loose their seat in Congress and none of them will be allowed to hold public office for not less than five years. New elections will be held the first Tuesday in November to replace them. Without this provision they’re going to pull this happy horseplay again.

    That Steny Hoyer is as much a jerk as O’Bama, both should be thrown out, and I mean of the U.S. not just the government. Is there nobody left with any sense? Look, this ILLEGAL/MUSLIM/ALIEN/SOB should never have gotten into office.
