    John Gault is correct, however if we just go with the cartoon as written, you will notice right away that the brave immature Luke requires no convincing or prodding to go to the Dark Side. The reason is clear, as the toon suggest, he is already bent to the Dark Side. The Dark Side is in his heart, he cannot override it with his once brilliant mind, as it has been turned at an early age toward the Dark Forces by his mentor Soros, oops, I mean Vader. It is a near hypnotic trance that cannot be countered. He has charted his course, and, oh my gosh, he is in the shallow water with the Ship of State, and has begun to flounder. He is helpless to change course and really doesn’t see any reason why he should, even if the people of his own party say he has gone too far. In his mind he thinks, “I have moved to the Dark Side, and with my brilliance, I will convince you to move to the Dark Side too. Oooo, he thinks, I like it here, FEEL THE POWER!
