John Edwards 2008 presidential campaign still spending, despite $2.1 million debt to taxpayers

Federal election officials say John Edwards owes taxpayers more than $2.1 million in public matching funds improperly received after he dropped his 2008 run for the White House, yet disclosure reports show his failed campaign is still spending freely.

Edwards’ hopes for the Democratic presidential nomination imploded in a sex scandal four years ago that left him facing criminal charges. But reports filed last week show his 2008 primary campaign spent $836,712 in 2011 on airfare, hotel rooms, cell phones and other expenses.

The campaign reported $2.1 million in cash remaining as of Dec. 31, a figure close to what the Federal Election Commission says the former North Carolina senator still owes the U.S. Treasury.

Patricia A. Fiori, one of four lawyers working for Edwards in the FEC case, said this week she could not comment, referring questions to the campaign.

John Edwards is so corrupt it’s mind-boggling!!! He owes the taxpayers $2.1 million dollars. What’s new? Most of the DemonRats owe the taxpayers money. Look at Nancy Pukelosi who spent millions of dollars on Air Force jets when she was Speaker of the House. Will she every pay that back? I don’t think so. Look at how Obumer and his wife squander our tax money and carelessly do nothing to stop this wasteful spending. Yet, he wants to the rich to pay more taxes. Well, his filthy rich, liberal supporters have most of the money in this country. Why doesn’t he go after them? Again, HYPOCRISY is the name of this game!! See website: http://www.haasstrep68.com

I’d just like to encourage all conservatives and libertarians who read and post on Conservativebyte to also read/make comments on Huffington Post.

In years past I would occasionally click on a link somewhere which led to an article on HuffPo. Then I’d read the posts at the end of the article and shake my head in sadness that people could be so silly and shallow. However, since it was necessary (I think) to register through some of the “social media” (such as Facebook) I never bothered to do so.

But, when AOL bought Huffington Post (for a reported $300 million), after a couple of months it was possible to enter HuffPo by possessing an AOL email address. I quickly signed up for one of those and have been going to town ever since.

We need more sane people over there to counter the incessant liberal misinformation, disinformation, spin, and outright falsehoods.

      Great Idea Bud (From Pleasentville?)

Never thought about that perspective until you presented it in that manner.

There are the rabid Ne’er-Be-convinced’ers but certainly there are those who would be amenable to well framed counter-assertions.

Certainly they do it to & on Conservative boards & are certainly more “Active” than Conservatives.

Problem with Conservatives is that we tend to stay out of any body’s business because we’re small Gov’t least intrusive types more willing to walk away from a “Fight” than engage it……let’s term it “Reasonable & Rational”.

Then there are the rabid fascists who really don’t quite get that their fascist because of the purported infantile Zeal.

They’d be shoveling us into ovens at record speed in order to bring about the “Utopia”.

It’s social-mania stoked by social-media predicated all upon how one feels since the logical reasoning of the higher senses are by-passed & (Yeah, here I go) the reptilian brain is inculcated & consulted entirely for decisions & beliefs based upon that reptilian interpretation.

Never really bought into the reptilian interspersed hybrid human theology, but as I just wrote that out, it now seems ever the more plausible.

Going to YouTube now to study up on these reptilian hybrid hijacking hi-jinx shenanigans (Why-oh-why did I finally watch that old movie last night “They Live”???).
