Facebook shuts down pro-life message

Prominent pro-life advocate Bryan Kemper is questioning Facebook after it removed his pro-life message, a move that followed on the heels of the company’s decision to allow the posting of directions on how to perform an abortion at home.

Just last month, the popular social media site issued an apology to Rebecca Gomperts for temporarily censoring her do-it-yourself abortion instructions she had posted as her profile picture.

But this week Kempers’ message was shut down and he wants pro-life Facebook users to sound the alarm.

There are sane people in the center left and right who decry broad brush accusations and for sure hypocrisy, which infects the right to its core. Right wing broadcasters and talking heads are poster children for “do what I say and not what I do.” Personally I could care less what people do in their bedrooms. That doesn’t mean I accept every element of aberrational conduct.

            But listening to pontifications from a slob and drug addict like Rush Limberger forces me to hold my nose.         I deactivated my FB account.
        If anyone here thinks that deactivating FB is the end of it they are dead wrong.
        All one has to do to Reactivate FB is type in FB and wahlah. The account is instantlt back & active.
        In short, Face Book is a Permanent part of all user’s life after FB knows the IP address and the user cannot delete what Facebook already has.
        Most know Big Bro is watching , however, Many don’t realize who Big Bro’s “Bro” is though.

The problem with pro-lifers is that they perfer to murder people who disagree with them—and thee has been plenty of news coverage on that. I don’t support either pro-life or abortion agendas; Roe v Wade at least keeps the backyard butchers from getting back into business and enables those who do choose abortion to have the procedure done in a timely maner (NO, I do not support 2nd/3rd trimester abortions either) in a safe environment.

          You make what I call the “William Morales argument”. You have to remember that for most folks who oppose legal abortion, abortion is nothing short of the deliberate killing of an innocent person.
          Morales was a Puerto Rican separatist in the 70s; the kind of guy who liked to make his point with bombs. Ultimately, he wound up blowing off both his hands and half his face in an apartment in NY City, while making a bomb to kill someone else. Now, if only we had easy access to quality, safe bomb-making matierals, and courses on how to build the things, William Morales and others like him would not have to do it the “back ally” way, and risk injury and death….You see the point, I hope. Keeping the back-ally abortionists out of it – and even keeping women from resorting to them – is not worth the price of an innocent death with each abortion. Now, if you disagree that the fetus is a person, fine, but before you criticize us, who believe it *is*, by talking about back-ally abortions, you have to see it from our perspective. If the fetus isn’t a person, there is no reason to restrict abortion, up to the very last moment. If it *is*, though, talk about back alleys is beside the point; if abortion kills an innocent person, nothing but a real and imminent threat to the life of the mother justifies it.

        I agree facebook has it’s faults but for a variety of reasons, not the least of which for people who travel the world and want to keep up on what their friends are doing and for those whom relationships with other people are important to them, FB is a godsend, it happens to be coopted by liberals and will become a trap, but to say it’s for weak people is stupid.       I think Jeff, U may B on to an interesting trend in PC usage. I have been intrigued by cults for yrs, lately we don’t hear to much about them. I know that as a disabled person, I probably spend too much time on my PC. I find no end of interesting stories and features for that part of myself that is “news junkie”. I love visiting the museums, and “generous” web sites, sites that truly deliver access and material for research and learning, like our Presidential Museums/Librarys. Even 500 TV stations can’t compare w/all the fascinating material I come across online. I do enjoy FB & visit daily.
      We know the web tracks everything we do online. They now want to share all of our surfing activity with friends!! My Jewish devotion to Israel get me into big trouble; my opinions of Obama’s policies re Israel could be interpreted by Admin. in very negative ways. It is awesome and scary to think how govt. could exploit FB and the entire internet.
      as well as Bobby, Jr. They R both on my wall. Bobby Jr. was only Kennedy to oppose Obama in 2008. I have something to offend ea.body on my wall!

      I recently de-friended a person, who was a dear old friend. She is ultra Liberal & very pro-Obama. She started snooping on my “wall” & sending me horrid public msgs; telling me I was a Nazi Propagandist for defending Gov. Brewerof AZ . She kept up w/this a few days, & finally I sent her post giving her warning of defriending. I simply defriended her, but my guilt and sadness over this increased. Cults will try to seperate old friends & familys. Cults do not encourage debate within members. Usually cults want members living at their “intentional communities”. I have not been invited to live with any group of people. In the beginning of new member’s cult experience, they simply invite/strongly encourage attendance at Cult’s lecture. I do get occasional invites to “PC streamed events” but all of these have been from politicians of my own preference. You raise the question of how a cult could develop on FB; and I sure can see plenty of opportunities for this to happen! Especially with new practices that give a “nethead” no privacy in surfing! They could start “planting” friends who would be good at seekiing my company and being available locally for real=time relationship. At that point, the cult of FB could segue into a cult. I get letters from Obama admin (mistakenly I thought, thinking I was Pro-Obama Liberal), they have people in my neighborhood having “parties” and “town meetings”, “training volunteers to be Campaign workers”. These community events have always had me thinking that they remind me of Communist Cells. I have volunteered for Campaign work in past, and NEVER have seen anything like joining a neighborhood group for express purpose of fellowship w/other campaign workers; “educational forums”, putting Saul Alinsky practices to the max. We all know that both GOP & DNC put tracking codes on all e-mails sent; they know who is and who is not giving or participating Recently, I’ve seen my FB correspondents sharing more info about daily lives/concerns. FB might become something much more than a crazy/fun reality show, instead, an invite to Big Brother’s Castle and Estate, from which there is no exit gate at the moat. Intentional Community.

            This is the reason the Catholic Church does not condone birth control. The central issue is that it separates the act of physical union from the act of procreation. That, however, is what the hedonist, atheist left wants. Once that separation is made, then everything else is OK. If contraception is OK, then “emergency contraception”, meaning chemical abortifacients, is OK. If that fails, then abortion is OK. If that is OK, then homosexual sex is OK, pedophilia is OK, and anything else you can think of that is sexually stimulating is OK. Indeed, the litmus test of liberals ( = democrats) nowadays is abortion, homo “marriage” and so forth. Our problem as a society is rot from within, and it all began with the devil’s favorite weapon, sex. Abortion is not a solution, it is part of the problem. The solution is to stop separating sex from procreation and only enjoy the fruits of marriage. Try to think of children as a gift from God instead of a burden. If Europe had, and hadn’t contracepted itself into oblivion, they would have the workers to support their generous social programs, and they wouldn’t have the problem they do with Muslim immigrants. We need to not only take our country back, we need to shape laws that will not let anything like this happen again. A few years back, CA took out of its teachers’ oath “I do not belong to any organization that advocates overthrowing the gov’t.” I paraphrase because I don’t know the exact wording, but they took it out of the teachers’ oath.

        Maybe we have too many socalled parents who let their children do whatever they want. Many of these parents are having too much fun to worry about their children. What else can young children do when they’re left to their own devices (or should I say “vices”) while their parents are raising “hell” in a carnal world.         Abortion has skyrocketed ever since Roe vs Wade was passed in 1973. Far more pre-born babies have been terminated, ie aborted (killed), than all the men and women who have served and lost their lives in all of our wars-from the American Revolution to the present- COMBINED.
        Now that so called back alley abortions have been eliminated from the back allies, they are now being legally performed in the back allies of Planned Parenthood sites, and other abortionist offices.
        How is “dirty equipment” going to make this grisly procedure any more “sterile” and morally acceptable, when it comes to pulling a live, healthy baby out of its mother’s uterus prematurely, and stabbing it to death in the neck with a pair of scissors? This occurs just outside the birth canal after the baby has been born. Do you think that you have to have absolute sterility when you put on a condom or have sexual intercourse? The vagina is not sterile.
        “You can’t “force” a woman to carry a pregnancy to term she never intended to, or wanted? What gives anyone that right?”
        Well, lets see. I think the 6th Commandment of the 10 Commandments in the Book of Exodus in the Bible states, “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. It also seems that morality is legislated in State and Federal Law that killing, ie murder, is a felony.
        Nobody has the “right” to kill a child-be it their own, or someone elses’-whether it is still in their uterus (womb), or outside their uterus. Inside or outside the uterus, the child is a living human being. To say its “not living” when inside the uterus, even though this baby is eating, eliminating, breathing, and doing all the things that babies do, including sucking its thumb…this is the height of ignorance. So if its living, what happens in an abortion? If that baby, which is living human being, is violently pulled out of the uterus and stabbed, or has caustic saline injected into the birth canal to burn it to death, is that not killing, ie murder?
        And yet, there have been babies who were actually aborted, and survived! There have been mothers who were raped, and they decided to carry their babies to full term anyway… Flash forward in time several years, and today, those supposedly”unwanted babies” are responsible, loving Christian parents raising beautiful healthy children themselves. How do i know this? I have heard them interviewed over the radio, and read their stories online! I read a book written by one young lady who survived a saline abortion. She is a very fine young adult today who is very active in the pro-life cause. Her mother who had the abortion, deeply regrets having had the abortion (17 years old, and not being informed about all the facts converning abortion- who is now also a staunch pro-lifer. She is a member of WEBA, a very large pro-life organization that has well over 60,000 members. WEBA stands for Women Exploited by Abortion. Some of your biggest pro-life, anti-abortion people are women who have actually had an abortion and now deeply regret it. I am not saying all women feel that way-far from it. I wasn’t born yesterday. Thank God my mother didn’t believe in her right to have an abortion-and thank God, neither did your mother!

        Most respectfully, I would like to point out that back alley abortions still occur, women still die after having abortions performed by unqualified doctors. And today, we have Planned Parenthood available that provides abortion, so the idea of “going back to the back alley abortions” is really disingenuous. Just do a search and you’ll find some of the cases where women have died following the abortion procedure.

        I would also like to point out that the actual back alley abortions were most prevalent when many of the modern methods of birth control (i.e. the Pill, IUDs, Norplant and other methods) had not been invented. Today, not only are there multiple methods and means of preventing conception easily available, but a women could also use RU-186, also know as the “morning after pill”.

        There are enough health care providers and community health centers for virtually any woman to obtain effective birth control.

        The right goes to the unborn child to be born. Since the child cannot speak for himself/herself someone must. The excuse that some women give is that “It is my body and I can do whatsoever I wish with it doesn’t wash the body being aborted isn’t hers but belongs to someone else namely the baby. This is a selfish attitude on the womans part. If she doesn’t want the baby the most loving thing she could do is carry the child to term and then give it up to someone who wants the child and who can’t conceive and desperately want a child. This has happened before. If they’re commenting that I’m typing too fast, well, that’s been part of my profession for many, many years.

      Why have a site such as this if we are not allowed to comment as often as we choose, or, a more ridiculous reason, if we are not allowed to type our comments as speedily as I assume we want to.

      I think you’re right. I’m adamantly pro-life. I believe that life begins the instant a sperm enters an ovum and that abortion at any stage is murder. But the last pic is too graphic to post on a site that children will be exposed to. My older children (16 & 13) know the full truth about abortion. They’ve seen some of the graphic pictures. I do NOT want my 4 year old to be sitting in my lap, as she often does while I’m using my computer, and see something that horrific! To place an image of what is clearly a dismembered baby into the mind of small children will traumatize them and over time it will desensitize them to the horror that is abortion. I have no problem at all with FB blocking this image.

          One of the many attacks on our country from the Religious Right is the claim that our country is a Christian Nation…not just that the majority of people are Christians, but that the country itself was founded by Christians, for Christians. However, a little research into American history will show that this statement is a lie. Those people who spread this lie are known as Christian Revisionists. They are attempting to rewrite history, in much the same way as holocaust deniers are. The men responsible for building the foundation of the United States were men of The Enlightenment, not men of Christianity. They were Deists who did not believe the bible was true. They were Freethinkers who relied on their reason, not their faith.
          If the U.S. was founded on the Christian religion, the Constitution would clearly say so–but it does not. Nowhere does the Constitution say: “The United States is a Christian Nation”, or anything even close to that. In fact, the words “Jesus Christ, Christianity, Bible, Creator, Divine, and God” are never mentioned in the Constitution– not even once. Nowhere in the Constitution is religion mentioned, except in exclusionary terms. When the Founders wrote the nation’s Constitution, they specified that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” (Article 6, section 3) This provision was radical in its day– giving equal citizenship to believers and non-believers alike. They wanted to ensure that no religion could make the claim of being the official, national religion, such as England had.
          The Declaration of Independence gives us important insight into the opinions of the Founding Fathers. Thomas Jefferson wrote that the power of the government is derived from the governed. Up until that time, it was claimed that kings ruled nations by the authority of God. The Declaration was a radical departure from the idea that the power to rule over other people comes from god. It was a letter from the Colonies to the English King, stating their intentions to seperate themselves. The Declaration is not a governing document. It mentions “Nature’s God” and “Divine Providence”– but as you will soon see, that’s the language of Deism, not Christianity.
          The 1796 Treaty with Tripoli states that the United States was “not in any sense founded on the Christian religion” . This was not an idle statement meant to satisfy muslims– they believed it and meant it. This treaty was written under the presidency of George Washington and signed under the presidency of John Adams.

          None of the Founding Fathers were atheists. Most of the Founders were Deists, which is to say they thought the universe had a creator, but that he does not concern himself with the daily lives of humans, and does not directly communicate with humans, either by revelation or by sacred books. They spoke often of God, (Nature’s God or the God of Nature), but this was not the God of the bible. They did not deny that there was a person called Jesus, and praised him for his benevolent teachings, but they flatly denied his divinity. Some people speculate that if Charles Darwin had lived a century earlier, the Founding Fathers would have had a basis for accepting naturalistic origins of life, and they would have been atheists. We’ll never know; but by reading their own writings, it’s clear that most of them were opposed to the bible, and the teachings of Christianity in particular.

    I think we have a threat in our governmental units far more fearful than the Muslims. Soros and his communist buddies, I think, preent a far more serious threat. Our government and our colleges are full of these leftists who keep dividing the people over whatever issue they can use. They have one goal. Every one, supposedly, will have complete social, economic and political equality. However, those in power will stand above the rest.

    Russia’s five year plans all failed. Russia was to be the Utopia of the world. Yet, millions of Russian’s were slain in order to make this equality come to fruition.

    Anyone ever wonder how MSN got started and was working, then suddenly Facebook popped up and took off? In the beginning, there wasn’t that much of a difference between them.
    I’ve been pondering it and for some reason, it doesn’t make sense.
    It’s as if main stream propaganda talking about how Facebook was taking off and doing so well made the sheep flock to it even though it was about the same thing.

        I am cranking it up on Facebook… a recent photo album I put up has been shared nearly 50,000 times since Jan 30. It was all 2nd Amendment stuff… drove some of the lefties nuts on there… calling me crazy, etc… even worse. But I believe in stirring the hornet’s nest and “getting in their faces” like Barry recommends. This article is linked up tonight on my page and my 2 groups (“We Are The 53%” and “The Facebook Tea Party”).
        I’ve been unceremoniously cutoff from 2 other groups, but that’s OK. None of my posts have been deleted by FB. That photo album on guns actually got the lefties arguing about gun control, and there were quite a few sticking up for me and the right to self-defense!

    I am tired of hearing how a woman has the right to chose abortion as a choice to pregnancy. What about taking responsibility for the choice made when she chose to have unprotected sex. This goes for the father as well. Life is not about making one choice after another, it is about making a choice then being responsible for that choice before you make another choice.       Our country was founded on the premise of protecting individual rights Bob, you pro-port to defend women’s rights, but what about the girl child you think they have the right to kill? I am a woman, and I see far more “women/females” denied their right to live as they are being aborted than anyone being denied out side the womb, by the very women who demand their own “rights”.

      Women do have the right to choose, we can choose birth control, or we can choose to say NO or we can choose to say No unless he uses birth control and if we find ourselves pregnant, we can choose to raise our child or bless someone else by allowing them to adopt our child. There is no excuse today to have an unwanted pregnancy, unless a woman/girl is raped (I consider incest rape also) Other than rape, an unwanted pregnancy in this era is nothing more than lack of discipline or personal laziness, but we continue to make excuses and kill children. I would say that is the true hate of women because even those you convince to abort pay for it in someway, be it guilt or physical aliment. I don’t see pro choice advocates there when this choice caches up with women. I do however know many “conservative” women who are there to help them pick up the pieces.

      All of that said, this isn’t about Pro-Life or Pro-Choice, it is about censorship. Facebook is “supposed” to be an open forum, so if they want to start censoring they should do it evenly, no abortion pages Pro-Anything if that is how they choose to go, but taking one side or the other makes them Pro-Hypocrite and will backfire on them as soon as their is an alternative for families and friends who have found each other after years and would like to stay in touch.       Karen Santorum, the ultra-pro-life wife and mother of seven home-schooled children, has been the perfect complement to her husband, Rick, as he chases the Republican presidential nomination. On the campaign trail, the candidate often refers to her book, Letters to Gabriel, the story of the devoutly Catholic couple’s traumatic late-term 1997 miscarriage (the 20-week-old fetus lived two hours outside the womb). The couple opposes birth control as well as abortion, even in cases of rape.
      But Mrs. Santorum, 51, apparently wasn’t always committed to the cause. In fact, her live-in partner through most of her 20s was Tom Allen, a Pittsburgh obstetrician and abortion provider 40 years older than she, who remains an outspoken crusader for reproductive rights and liberal ideals. Dr. Allen has known Mrs. Santorum, born Karen Garver, her entire life: he delivered her in 1960.
      “Karen was a lovely girl, very intelligent and sweet,” says Allen, who at 92 uses a walker but retains a sly smile. A wine aficionado who frequented the Pittsburgh Symphony and was active in the local chapter of the ACLU, he lives with his wife of 16 years, Judi—they started dating in 1989, soon after he and Garver split—in the same large detached row house where he lived with the woman who would become Santorum’s wife. He and Garver also lived for several years in another house a few blocks away. “Karen had no problems with what I did for a living,” says Allen, who helped start one of the first hospital-sanctioned abortion clinics in Pennsylvania. “We never really discussed it.” (The Santorum campaign did not return repeated requests for comment on the relationship.)
      The six-year-long May-December affair, which was always out in the open, began in 1982, when Garver was a 22-year-old nursing student at Duquesne University. Allen was then 63. He was well known for delivering babies and helping to start a “therapeutic abortion” clinic at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh years before Roe v. Wade. As at most such clinics, sympathetic psychiatrists of the era attested to women’s fragile mental health as a way to skirt restrictions on the procedure. Rick Santorum has lampooned the notion that abortion statutes should contain exceptions in cases where women’s health is at risk.
      Although they had technically known each other since Karen’s birth, Allen doesn’t remember having contact with her as she was growing up; they reconnected when she called him looking for an apartment to rent near Duquesne. Her parents, Catholic with 11 other children, who lived in the nearby suburbs, were well acquainted with Allen; her father was a pediatrician who got many of his patients through referrals from the obstetrician. They knew he owned the building that housed his large practice and that there was a basement apartment. Allen, divorced for several years at that point with six grown children, had been living on two upper floors.
      Garver moved into the basement apartment, but she wasn’t there long, says Allen. “That first night, as soon as it got dark, she called to say she was scared and asked if she could come up. I figured it was a come-on, but that was OK.” Karen, he says, came upstairs, permanently.
      Unusual though the affair may seem now, Allen says it “really wasn’t that big a deal, at least to me.” It was the ’80s, after all, and he’d had a number of young girlfriends before Garver; his wife Judi is 30 years younger than he. “My first marriage didn’t do very well because of that behavior,” he concedes.
      He and Karen lived above the office together for nearly five years, until the house in which Allen now resides was finished after a lengthy renovation (the couple broke up a few months after they moved into the house). Photographs of them together throughout those years show her as a fresh-faced, freckled young woman with wavy hair and a shy grin that grew more confident after Allen paid to have her teeth straightened.
      “He was very well known and respected in town, and pretty dashing,” says Curt Katz, who owned the local Mercedes dealership. Garver often came in to get the doctor’s car serviced, says Katz. “They were quite the couple.”
      Garver’s parents were scandalized by the pairing, which strained their relationship with their daughter, according to Allen’s youngest daughter, Candy, who, at 51, is the same age as Mrs. Santorum. (Karen’s parents did not return calls requesting comment.) His own children weren’t too happy either but bore it largely in silence.
      “We knew Dad was just going to be Dad,” she says. “We were respectful of his relationship with Karen, but we didn’t become close friends with her or anything.”
      Mary and Herbert Greenberg, longtime friends of Allen’s through Herbert’s job as concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony, recall that Karen had seemed entirely familiar and comfortable with the subject of abortion when the couples socialized. In October 1983, Mary Greenberg (who had moved to Baltimore with her husband) flew to Pittsburgh to consult Allen about an abortion. He directed her to colleagues at the Women’s Health Center; Karen, recalls Mary, immediately offered to accompany her to the clinic. “She told me it wasn’t that bad, that I shouldn’t be worried,” says Mary, who ultimately went on her own, and met Allen and Garver for dinner later that night. “She was very supportive.”
      The Greenbergs say Allen happily gave Karen a cultural education. When she told him she wanted to learn to play the piano, he bought her a Steinway upright (which still stands in his living room). He took her to Europe several times as well as to Hong Kong for the wedding of one of his friends. In 1983, the couple went to France to visit Candy and one of her older sisters, who were traveling around Europe after college.
      He also took Karen on a group antiques-and-music week in London in the mid-’80s with several promi-nent local supporters of the arts. His future wife, Judi, then host of a classical-music radio show on WQED, the local public-broadcasting affiliate, led the group. She, Allen, and Garver shared a chatty, boozy night in the hotel, trading confidences. “Karen told Tom he should probably be dating me, that he and I had a lot in common.”
      By then, Garver, who had been working as a neonatal nurse, had enrolled in law school at the University of Pittsburgh; Herbert Greenberg wrote her a recommendation. A classmate who now works on social-justice issues in New York describes her as “just another smart, nice girl with a Channel 13 tote bag, someone who seemed like an average progressive. We knew she had a much older doctor boyfriend, but we didn’t really talk about it.”
      The unlikely couple broke up in 1988. “Karen wanted to have children, and that was something I had already done,” Allen says. There were no hard feelings; she told him to keep the piano.
      Around that time, she met her future husband when he recruited her as a summer intern for his law firm; he too hadn’t been much of a practicing Catholic, but that changed soon after they married in 1990. They immediately started a family; Karen never practiced law. Her husband ran for Congress, and by the mid-1990s he was among the most fervent anti-abortion legislators in the House of Representatives. Her law-school friend the social-justice lawyer ran into Karen Santorum on Capitol Hill around then. “She greeted me warmly,” he recalls, “but I got the idea that she wasn’t allowed to embrace me or anything. By that point she was dressed like Hester Prynne.”
      Among the final times Tom Allen heard from Karen was a Christmas card in 1988. “I miss you,” it read.

          No – quite the opposite. My mother went through an incredible time bringing into this world because she had had rheumatic fever as a child and part of her heart was destroyed. She taught me to open my eyes and see what really went on on this planet.

          I did exactly what she told me to do and I learned what religions were really about. She did tell me to “live by example” but after a few years I found that that did not work. Even the Catholic priests who were supposed to lead people forward abused children and nuns and young women. The megachurch pastors whose only goal is to soak the gullible. The crazily different interpretations of a supposedly inerrant God who supposedly wrote an inerrant Bible that was full of contradictions and continually rewritten to suit the respective authors views.

          Then after reading scientific journals for decades I learned how this planet, its peoples and its animals and plants worked and the ludicrous pronouncements in the Bible made no sense.

I’ve never met anyone that advocates against proper health care insurance, but lots of us think people that can afford it should pay their own way. Also, I haven’t killed anyone driving, and neither have my friends. So how did you jump to the delusion that you are a better driver than I am, or don’t you drive? By the way, how old are you, about 18 – 24?

Unless they’ve changed they will sometimes allow an egg to be fertilized but then it won’t be able to attach to the uterine wall and will be expelled. Spontaneous abortion. I took the pills years ago before I understood. I will have to explaing my ignorance to any babies I killed when/if I get to meet them in heaven.

      MaryLamb72 – please don’t beat yourself up over this concept. As a prolife gynecologist for over 35 years, I can tell you that the best data do not support the likelihood of your scenario. Not only do all birth control pills (and NuvaRing and Implanon/Nexplanon as well as DepoProvera) consistently prevent ovultaion, but the secondary effect is that the progestin component of all of these make the mucus in the cervix so thick that the sperm cells can’t even get into the uterus and never get out in the fallopian tube to find their girlfriend. Sadly, many pro-life people have swallowed the ‘prevention of implantation’ theory pushed by ‘experts’ who haven’t done their homework.

      Even if this theory were right, those little ones have been in the loving care of the Father in heaven and won’t hold any grudges ;>)

If I had it to do over again, I would not trust “the best data” because we have learned the hard way that the best today may be proven false tomorrow. Kept getting — “link not allowed/ spam) message and would not let me post it…could post other non related links tho. Marco Rubio of Florida has said that “Obama will eviscerate who ever gets the Republican nomination” because he and their socialist movement cannot afford to lose the gains they have made. The liberal media is already reporting that Obama is looking for dirt on the Republican candidates. Facebook is but a small extension of the larger picture that most Americans fail to see is happening. That is why this election is so critical to our survival as a free country. If we don’t stop socialism, liberalism, communism, or whatever the current name is, “We the People” will no longer have any rights.

    I never could figure out why so many people post so much personal info on facebook. When the govt collects the same data on us we call it intrusion in our personal lives, which it is. As far as the actual abortion fight there will be such a thing as judgement. The philosophers are right that say all roads lead to God. They just leave out the part about judgement at the end of the road. One thing for sure. You can live your life serving God and accept Christ as your saviour, then die and perhaps find out you were wrong. Or live life denying God and Christ as your saviour, and die and find out you were wrong. Choice is ours. Either way, this country has allowed the killing of over fifty million lives through abortion.

If this were a perfect world where Christian fathers didn’t rape their daughters, where good Christians didn’t lie, where contraceptives worked perfectly and were available to all there would be less need for them.

      Banning abortion doesn’t reduce abortions – it does raise the number of deaths among women.

    Facebook also has some good to it. Government following or not. But in light of what facebook’s done now, I definitely want out…*all* the way out. I can’t, though, find anything on precisely how to unsubscribe. I checked “facebook” and “unsubscribe,” and sure enough, facebook has tips on how to unsubscribe from *other” folks’ sites…but not their own. Can anybody here help me bail on this nasty site?

    What I find appalling with the majority of these posts is that not ONE blames the male for the ‘unwanted pregnancy’ problem; it’s always the woman’s fault. Babies are made with TWO partners–a male and a female–so the procreation is the responsibility of both partners. Perhaps, if men took responsibility for their acts, there wouldn’t be so many abortions. And not one poster addresses the violent nature of the pro-life organizations; in other words, it’s somehow not okay to have an abortion, but it is just fine to murder the doctors, nurses, and patients by blowing up the clinics and stalking the medical personnel just to gun them down in church halls or parking lots. The anti-abortion arguments make no sense with these two factors considered.

      With Pro-Choicers it’s Okay to murder a baby after it is born during a botched abortion. They use the excuse of Rape to support Abortion rights saying it is OK to kill the baby for the sins of the actual rapist but NOT OK to have a death penalty to punish the rapist.

    Pro-lifers say human life begins at conception. This means that the female egg, 9 months of a woman’s pregnancy ending with severe pain during delivery and the chance of death (as happened to my mother’s mother) and care of the newborn child for many years are subordinated to the male sperm which causes conception and “human life” as defined by pro-lifers.
    If the female obligations were required of a male pro-choice would prevail without doubt.
    This would not be male chauvinism, but common sense demanded by the male. I do not support partial birth abortion, but I do support pro-choice determination to terminate potential life in the unfertilized egg, the fertilized egg, and a reasonable period of time after conception to be determined primarily by the pregnant woman.

    I want to be honest with you all sometime before I pass away. I am a man. I sinned egregiously. I participated in abortions with two women at seperate times in my life, for convenience sake. Neither of us was ready for a committed relationship–this in hindsight. I saw the picture of the aborted baby just now. I regret what I had done, and pray for the forgiveness I seek from God. I want to see my babies if I get the chance to go to heaven, to apologize to them face-to-face.

    Had there been a FB around back then, and had they posted that picture with comment, things would have been entirely different. I now have a son, from a mother who originally wanted an abortion. I stood firm, and he is great.

    The sin of abortion–any sin, really–is not in what you failed to do; it’s what you fail to see what might have been. Abortion leaves a deadly memory, long after it has been performed. Life is far better. Facebook is a waste of time. Want to contact your friends and family?? write them a letter; call them on the phone. Don’t be distant and impersonal hiding behind letters on a website.

    The site that the link “Continue Reading on http://www.wnd.com ” points seems to have been hacked. I tried it and it messed up my video. I immediately powered off fearing a virus, but on bring the computer back up it was OK. It appears to be a hack that transmits something that screws up the video. Just like the liberals they can not fight on an honest playing field so they are the brown shirts of this century.

    FB is not the only liberal outlet to mis-use their site. Yahoo loves to put up polarizing ideologically biased articles because it drives up the number of comments and they can claim more eyes on yahoo when talking with advertisers. Advertisers should wake up and realize that they are wasting their money since those making the comments are filled with anger and only interested in hammering the other side. That is also why Yahoo lets inflammatory comments through while blocking truthful calm logic that destroys the arguments/positions they favor.

    Are you sure that your facts are right rjgarfunkel? You say that GOP conservatives are against public education I have not seen that anywhere. Also you say they are against Social Security and Medicare, same way I have not seen that anywhere. You say they do support unrestricted gun ownership, that is a bunch of bull I have not seen even one that says everyone should be able to own a gun, but yes anyone that has not be convicted of a felony should be able to own a firearm if they want to.     The Scriptural passage you quote refers to God knowing the soul of someone. It is poetry expressing the relationship of God to all of creation. The “dictionary” definition is close to correct. Even after about 12 weeks I could lay out the fetuses of a monkey, horse, dog, chimpanzee, human, and several other mammals. You would not be able to tell the human fetus by just looking at it. In looking at the picture that seems to have created this discussion, I am not sure that is even a human fetus in the picture.

    I read the Bible and pray every day. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. I believe in evolution AND I believe that God created this universe. I find no contradiction there. The Scriptural account is the description in human terms of an act of love by God. Evolution is the mechanism by which that creation came to be.

    God gave us brains and we were given a commandment to use them: You shall love the lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. This is the response given by Jesus when the Pharisees asked him which commandment was the greatest.

    Scripture became “printed word” only after generations of it being handed down in oral traditions. However inspired by God it is, there is nothing that says God “dictated” the Bible to a scribe. Actually there were hundreds of scribes. Nor was Scripture written in English. It’s languages of origin were Hebrew and Koinae Greek. Jesus spoke Aramaic. Some words and concepts do not have exact English equivalents.

    It is tiresome for so many to keep insisting that they know exactly what Scripture says about abortion or any other topic. There are numerous contradictions. Which of the two creation stories in Genesis is the right one? They differ. Which of the two flood stories is the right version? They differ.

    It all boils down to pretty simple requirements of God from God’s people: Love God. Love your neighbor. God is love. We were created by love for love. The language and tone used on this blog wanders a long way from that of love. (Please do not tell me it’s about hating the sin and loving the sinner. That’s not in Scripture either.)

    What does all this nasty name calling really say about someone? It doesn’t speak well of those who claim to be loving people of faith.

    If I had been born female, I do not know if I could go through with an abortion. But that would be a decision made between me, God and my physician. It is not the business of anyone else. And if I found out that on the day I met God face to face that I had made a bad decision, I would still have faith in the infinite love and mercy of the God who created me to forgive me, just as God has promised.

    Those who are so interested in getting involved in a pregnancy might want to see how they might feel about others getting equally involved in their activities that created a pregnancy. Do you really want others exploring your right to engage in sexual activity? I somehow doubt it.

        Re-read the passage. Jesus did not forgive anything. He asked where her accusers were. When there were none, he said he didn’t accuse her either. Then he said go and sin no more. And note, he did NOT identify her sin. We have presumed it to be adultery but that is not stated. Furthermore, where was the man? A woman cannot commit adultery by herself.

      I suspect Facebook has allowed Dot Gov full access to all FB accounts and IP addresses and friends , this means No one who has signed up for FB can ” ever” delete their account.
      Been ther and learned after I thought I deleted my FB account , When I simply googled FB and hit Login , I logged in without my password or ever signing up again and my account not only came back up but the friend request still retroactively showed up back to the day I deleted my acct. As in, the acct. Never was deleted.
      It’s too late to keep Dot Gov out of your life once Dot Gov knows “Who ya are and what ya done wrote.

    While there is no way to ever actually delete your profile info from Facebooks data base, the only hope for X-Facebookers is to change your IP address, It’s a pain to do and one needs to backup all folders they wish to keep. Most blogger accounts will have to be re-entered under the new IP address.
    One little problem, Since FB has already given the Dot Gov Civil spies Our info, Dot Gov already knows Who “We Are” & What “WE” Done. As well as Where “We Live’ & Work.

    Keep it simple. Copy the picture/poster that was censored by FB (right-click, then Save picture As) Then paste it on your Facebook wall. Peacefully and quietly stand up for life. If censored, put it back up again until you are kicked out. That IPO certainly won’t be worth that much then if the true nature of FB becomes public–or if the numbers drop so quickly and permenantly. So what if your account is just deactivated instead of deleted. If you don’t re-activate, it might as well be deleted. Start writing letters again. Pick up the phone and call. We managed just fine before FB and computers. Perhaps writing letters and mailing stuff would even save the post office! *Laughing*

I worked two jobs and took out loans to get a college education at a private university. Then I paid back the loans to the last penny.
