When ‘Newt’ Voted To Declare Democrats ‘Officially Weird’

Given all the “serious” talk about the Republican primary contenders and the pending Iowa caucuses on Jan. 3, it can be refreshing to take a lighter look at some of the candidates and, well, have a good laugh. For Newt Gingrich, who rose to national prominence in 1995 as Speaker of the House, the laughter often rolled on Saturday Night Live back then as Chris Farley frequently impersonated the policy wonk from Georgia.
