Set aboard a ship of fools, the ad almost seems as if it could have been directed by the macabre Tim Burton and offers an eccentric mix of just about everything — from a Cialis reference to a cameo by the famed “Anonymous” masked-figure, from a jab at Obamacare to a dig at the “99 percent.”
On this Alice in Wonderland-esque vessel, rafts full of enslaved children row-away as Captain Barack Obama of the “U.S.S. Obamaboat” recklessly steers the ship toward the edge of a waterfall, and, certain doom.
It comes as no surprise then, when Oxner closes the ad by asking voters to “turn this ship around” before it is too late.

We know that's due to contention about Obamacare, but it's not technically Obama who is failing to pass one. And the "free health-care for life" will offend fewer than you think (although we know it's not what it's cracked up to be.) b) Health care- This has been an issue since 1935 and the Social Security Act. Most presidents, not beholden to the AMA have understood the problem of the uninsured flooding the emergency rooms. Romney and Mass worked on it there and Obama saw the opening created by him and a progressive state and worked on a national solution. The private insurers have been jacking up the premium costs at triple inflation for the last few years. Is that Obama's fault? No! Health insurance tied to employment used to be an easy out for most workers. Now co-premiums of $5K and deductibles of $1K have made many cafeteria plans unaffordable. Thousands per day are dropping out of these plans and the system is moribund.
c) Education- the vast cost (98%) is raised at the State and Local level, and the Feds have very little impact or financial involvement. Therefore it is and will remain a local issue. The drop out rate cuts across all races and ethnic groups and problems of ESL and curriculum have little to do with the essential problem of bad parenting and latch key children of the rich and the poor. Socialism, statism and fascism have nothing to do with any of these problems.
d) Energy- What did Reagan and the Bush Twins do for energy independence from Carter's warnings after the 2nd Oil Embargo? Very little. But today we are reducing our dependence on foreign oil significantly. Ironically the price of coal and natural gas are in such abundance, their prices have bottomed. We actually are starting to export energy. As for Keystone, it promises 6500 jobs and it is the "locals" who want review and more environmental impact studies. They are scared of spillage. As to off-shore drilling, we have deep-water drilling because the Gulf Coast states whose GNP is 50% tourism and agriculture are afraid of shallow, near coastline drilling. Another example of state control.
e) Dictatorship: There is no dictator, there is no socialism or communism. The country will hold its elections and a winner will be determined. In my opinion it will be Obama and the Democrats will regain the House.
f) Growth: We have created more manufacturing and heavy industry jobs in the last two years than in decades. We have high productivity, our growth rateis not great, 2.8% last quarter, but moving along. Most of the jobs created in the Bush Years 2001-2006 were in housing and the over-supply is going to take years to absorb, but it will happen. 100% of the defaulted mortgages were written in that era, and 84% by Countrywide Financial and their clones. Lack of proper oversight by the SEC, the FED and FINRA had more to do with it then Fannie and Freddie.
