Romney: Obama’s promises as good as Kim Kardashian’s wedding vows

Print Friendly

Mitt Romney went on the attack against President Obama during a campaign stop in this large Omaha suburb, jokingly comparing Obama’s promises to the broken wedding vows of reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

“I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises,” he said. “I think the gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen, well, since the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ‘til death do we part.”

The overflow crowd of hundreds laughed appreciatively.

Romney, appearing alongside his wife Ann and son Craig, seemed comfortable and relaxed on the stump in one of his strongholds. The area has many small business owners and suburban, economic-minded voters, the types of voters most likely to support Romney, and is less dominated by hard-line social conservatives than many other parts of the state. The county Council Bluffs gave Romney one of the strongest margins of victory he had in the state in 2008.

There are just 48 hours until the Iowa caucuses occur Tuesday evening, and after seeking for months to minimize his campaign’s effort in Iowa to downplay expectations, Romney has campaigned hard in the state in the last few weeks. He currently holds narrow leads in most recent polls and with a win would cement his front-runner status for the nomination.

Most of the dozens in the crowd The Hill talked to said they’d supported Romney last time. His campaign’s plan is to keep the backers they had four years ago and hope that the large number of social conservatives in the state remain fractured between multiple candidates.

This usurper and Liar-in-Cheat is holding this nation hostage. His promises in 2008 are just like water in a strainer. That means they are empty promises. In other words, he lied!!! And a strainer doesn’t hold water, either does his promises. So, why should we believe him in 2012? Aren’t we tired of his lying, cheating, stealing and killing? What we need is a change in 2012 in our White House and the U.S. House and Senate. I hope Americans are not gullible and ‘asleep’ like they were in 2008. If they are they need to wake up and smell the coffee. If they don’t, our lives will be on the line and we will lose everything we have and/or love, even family members. We need to prepare to defend ourselves. If this means LOCK AND LOAD and keep our ammo dry, then we need to do this. See website: http://www.haasstrep68.com

imam hussein and krappy kardashian are like 2 peas in a pod, and both as ugly as sin. They make a mockery of vows to God all in the name of money — it is the KA-CHING KA-CHING that they are selling their souls to. We have to get rid of both of them – I dont want to see either of their ugly faces on my TV. Enough

Pathetic! Nothing like some political grandstanding with no content…
Romney criticizes Obama, and yet they agree on the wars, adding more gun control, and neither of them see any problem with the Federal Reserve…
Sounds like more “Hope and Change” if Romney gets in to me!

    Ron Paul 2012!!!

    • 0bama Naysayer

You missed the point completely; 0bama is a LIAR! Nothing he says can be “taken to the bank!”
      ———
Please note that the first symbol in our president’s name will now be the number 0 in lieu of the letter O. This is to signify his lack of credentials and is emblematic
of his accomplishments while in office.

Obviously you are only tuned in to Paul and his diatribe. Listen to Chris Christy on the merits of Romney and maybe you can come out of the dark. HOPEless and CHANGEless is where Obama has taken us, as eloquently stated by Christy a few days ago! I’m afraid that’s where Paul would take us as well!

      • AL

        At Dennis;

Chris Christie’s cheer-leading the Merits of Romney aside… Are you saying that it isn’t Romney’s stance to add more gun controls, to extend the Patriot Act, continue and spread the wars and has no interest to look into the Federal Reserve… just like Obama…

  • Patrick Henry

BO has nothing to defend his record on, nothing. Romney or whoever gets the nomination will shred this Socialist-in Chief with the facts. BO will get his percentage of government dependents, liberals, Illegal aliens, and un-informed youth & minorities, but we have to turn this around or you won’t even recognize the country we used to live in. Kiss your Liberty goodbye! ! !

      Patrick,

I completely agree with everything you have stated. The current President has tried his damdest to destroy this country and everything we believe in. We are a nation of hope and will not allow this wicked man to destroy this country. After all, from everything I have researched, he is not an American citizen. God Bless us all if he gets in for another term. We are in real trouble if that is the case.

  • AliveStillKickin

Look at the photo above and I dare you to tell me which figure is a male. (we know neither is a MAN).
    Who cut Michelle’s hair….John Deere?

  • howe

It’s very upsetting to think that this President has misled over half of the population with his lies, deception and flat out and out devisiveness with a touch of race card thrown in. Obama has surrounded himself with the educated NERDS that have no experience at anything except playing the blame game. I hope we can elect someone who will be a President to all people, because for darn sure this President is for himself and his following of corruptocrats.

  • Big Ugly, Wyoming

    Quite the contrary.
Listen to his speeches prior to the fraud of November 2008 – he promised sweeping and ‘fundamental’ changes to our country, government, and very way of life. He did not qualify those statements. He has kept his word …. but now we know that the promise was to destroy this country, her people, and their very way of life.
To paraphrase Capt. John Parker, April 19, 1775, Lexington Bridge, “If it is war that they want, it is war that they shall have”.

    • patriotrenegade

I will be there with you and Capt Parker.

  • Terry Black

I find it ironic, that Romney comments on Obama’s promises, when in reality Romney’s agenda and promises are worth about as much as Obama’s – look at the track record of this secret CFR Globalist membe! Hypocricy is at an all time high, with al these Global Governance, no borders, war mongering, supporting agenda nominees!

Interesting news article to Search or Google: Ron Paul and the Killing Machine

    • patriotrenegade

Terry, I’m glad you’re anti-globalist, but Mitt is not. There is no evidence anywhere, and on one false google site, there was a heading, but no info or article. He never took a salary as gov, never worked in DC, and his health plan in mASS cost the taxpayers ZERO.

  • R. C.

Romney, is not far from where ” O B U M A S S ” is on many things. I don’t trust Romeny either. Do we really have a Republican ( I CAN ) candidate who can stand up to this Democrat
( R A T ). Many say they can, but so far I have not seen one who really is coming out swinging at the RAT now in office.

  • John

I am not enamored with any of the candidates, but I have to admit Romney has made a point. Obama ” promises ” everything , and then acts as if he is the founder of the 5F Club- Find em, Fool em, Feel em, F#*k em, and Forget em. Remember these whoppers ? I bet Obama thinks you are stupid enough to forget them as the 2012 elections roll around.
“I promise 100% transparency in my administration.”

“I promise NO NEW TAXES on a family making less than $250K a year.”

“I will allow 5 days of public comment before I sign any bills.”

“I will remove earmarks for PORK projects before I sign any bill.”

“I will end Income Tax for seniors making less than $50K a year.”

“I’ll put the Health Care negotiations on CSPAN so everyone can see who is at the table!”

“I’ll have no lobbyists in my administration.”

We may be forced by the kingmakers to choose either a RINO flip flopper, or a marxist socialist in 2012, but our country is at a critical pivot point in our history. Will we continue to be a free democratic republic, or will we be a typical socialist toilet ? It’s up to us. Get out and vote !

  • ives

Sean, this link will help you see some of the broken promises by Obama.; never mind his not honoring his oath when he took office. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Hvuru-Slls

  • Don Wayne

i am not totally pleased with romney either, and i lived in michigan when his dad was governor, we liked him. not so sure about his boy, but he is a damn sight better than the commie we have in office now, if the GOP fielded a road kill as candidate it would be an improvement over what we have now!

  • el_loco_jp

Finally, a Republican attacking Odummy instead or other Republicans.

  • Mike

He promised to “Fundamentally change America” and he has succeeded in part due to the mainstream media trumpeting everything he has done. The only thing wrong with that is that everything that has been done has made the country worse and more divided.
