Romney denies knowing about ad he approved

During a contentious exchange between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney over illegal immigration that opened Thursday’s GOP presidential debate, Romney said he was unaware of an ad his campaign ran alleging that Gingrich called Spanish “the language of the ghetto.”

However, in the Spanish language ad currently running in South Florida, Romney says in Spanish, “I’m Mitt Romney and I approve this message.”

During the debate, CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer asked Romney what he meant by the ad.

“I haven’t seen the ad so I’m sorry I don’t get to see all the TV ads,” Romney responded.

“I doubt that’s my ad but we’ll take a look and find out,” Romney continued. “There are lots of ads out there that are organized by other people.”

Shortly after, Blitzer told Romney that “we double checked” and “that was your ad.”

    If you live in America and are a LEGAL voter, you should be able to speak English. Why do we have to translate the Campaign speeches and/or approve the messages for immigrants that don't speak our language? I guess that goes hand in hand with not requiring pictorial ID to cast a vote. Is it just me, or do other people get the feeling our election process is not on the up and up?

      Only Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul have been in positions, as legislators, to insure that all Americans speak the same language –English! T

      Therefore, in order to reach the American voters who speak Spanish, because of their ineffeciveness as congressmen, other candidates (such as Romney) are FORCED to advertise in their language.

      By the way, Romney was responsible for starting English immersion in the schools of his state, as governor.

      I thought one had to be an AMERICAN CITIZEN TO VOTE! I thought one HAD TO SPEAK ENGLISH TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN?         I was at my kids school the other day for an event and they had to apologize for not having any more english versions of the literature and offered me one in Spanish. I just had to shake my head and say, "That is so wrong".

        So the illigials can vote, that is if they can read. My Grandfather born in 1879 couldn't read, I went with him to vote and read the voting app for him. If spanish speaking citizens can't read english, a family member can go with them to help them vote, if they have a government picture ID insuring they are citizens.

    When Obama was a senator, he voted and vociferously opined that raising the debt ceiling is un-American! Yet, as President, he has raised the debt ceiling adding $9 trillion raising our debt to $16 trillion and brought this nation to a never before loss of our AAA rating. Have you or the press ever referred to Obama as a "Flip Flopper?"

    Mitt Romney is difficult to grasp because he is a true BUSINESSMAN and SUCCESSFUL. Newt is a "politician" and debater. Newt became wealthy through "influence peddling" after leaving Congress! Yes, Newt knows how to maneuver legislation through Congress. Is that a Leader or is that a Manager? I submit Newt is a Manager.

    Mitt Romney knows when to hold them and knows when to play them and in the process makes Capitalism work for him.
    Mitt Romney looks like a President, works like a Capitalist and Leads like a COMMANDER.

    Get real my fellow Americans. We have NEVER had a businessman as President. I am sick and tired of the politician, lawyers, retired Generals and insiders exchanging chairs ending up in the Presidency.

    This idiot also told us he knew nothing about the Strong America Now deficit reduction pledge which he was asked to sign dozens of times since early April of 2011…when asked in mid December why he had not signed it (on a talk radio interview mind you), the Romulan’s answer: “I am not aware of what Strong America Now is.” A total lie; just like all of his other statements. This liar is from the same mold as Obummer.

    I have heard Romney say he is not aware of his ads and he also says he is not aware or involved in how his finaiances are invested. That in itself seems to be scary. here is a man that sponsers ads and invest money , but doesn't have any idea what is going on with either. I bet Newt can tell you right down to the date about his finances and could probally recite any ad his name is associated with. Romney is only a Obama disguised.

    Mitt Romney — Christian. I think not. One must act like a Christian to be a Cristian. If he'll lie about a small thing, you can be sure he is or will lie about bigger things. BEWARE — WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING. Romney is just like Obama in his vision, his plans for American, his lack of moral convictions, his push for big government and more intrusion in private lives.     I totally agree, Romey is like Obama. Why are people not able to see it. As the saying goes, he couldn't beat McCain, who couldn't beat Obama in 08. I really don't think he wants to beat Obama, I think he supports his agenda in secret. I hope and pray Newt can pull something out.
