Rick Perry will leave New Hampshire after this weekend’s debates and head to South Carolina, where he is scheduled to stay through the New Hampshire primary.
Perry’s campaign released his schedule for the next five days late Friday night.
It shows the Texas governor will be in New Hampshire for Saturday night’s debate and Sunday morning’s debate but he’s scheduled to be South Carolina Sunday afternoon, where he’ll stay through New Hampshire’s Tuesday primary.
Polls in New Hampshire show MItt Romney with a double-digit lead. The latest WMUR/UNH poll, out Friday, showed Perry with a mere 1 percent in the first-in-the-nation primary state.
