Not Obama’s Most Empathetic Moment

When a woman asked President Obama about her husband’s current unemployment status despite having a degree and work experience, the President came off sounding totally baffled and out of touch. Obama said it is ‘interesting’ to him that her husband is unable to find work because the word he’s getting is that someone in the hi tech field ‘should be able to find a job right away.’ The President told the woman to send in her husband’s resume so he can forward it to companies that are in need of engingeers.

VERY SCARY, Remember a lot of obama-care came from rommey-care, something to think about.

    Obama has his finger on the pulse of foreign investors and investments. He has been in the business of passing our jobs over seas along with our debt. This nation should not be in debt to ANYONE. If our leaders were doing their jobs and allowing our business leaders to do their jobs, if there were less government control on business in America and lower taxes on businesses we would again be the world's leader in industry and development. Along with this would come more tax base simply by the explosion of income that would take place. Another important factor is the entitlement sector of society.

      I'm no liberal, but when elected, I gave the man benefit of the doubt to attempt to be fair- hoping I might be pleasantly surprised and he was only average or a little bad instead of what has happened.

      Do you think it was just an accident or poor judgement on Obama's part that he supported already failing companies with our taxpayer dollars? Another company out of business and more taxpayer money down the sh$tter. Planned implosion of the US economy. He gave Solyndra $535 MILLION in bailout, a company that was failing miserably, who wound up declaring bankruptcy, however just weeks later a fundraiser was thrown for Obama's re-election campaign. Some with strong connections to Solyndra were a part of this fundraiser. I wonder where that 535 million bailout money could have gone. Surely, not to his fundraiser???

    Sounded decent enough to me. At least the Democrats care about working people, extend unemployment insurance, fighting for the minimum wage, and support for the Wagner Act. Our local Democratic Supervisor here works quite hard to facilitate the unemployed to job openings and opportunities. Social Darwinism supported by the GOP never reflects anything but caveat emptor and the spirit of "rugged individualism." Their interest in social safety nets is always "wanting."

    Interestingly, the great political God of the GOP, Ronald Reagan, never gave anything to charity accept Nancy's donation of her clothes.

    As a degreed engineer (MSChE), I resent this left handed marxist street clown who has NEVER had a real job in his life explaining how to find a job (ie, "Give me more money to payoff my union supporters and campaign bundlers.") in the engineering field. He knows about as much about finding a real job as a tree stump. What he does know about is destroying jobs.

Companies are hiring people they can pay less wages to. Just like the ILLEGALS, they work for less, so companies are hiring them and the government is not enforceing the laws against hiring these people. If the government would do their jobs, then we would not be in such a mess today. The way to take work from Americans is to tell the companies that you will work for less, then they will hire you to increase their profits.They could care less for their fellow Americans, as long as their bank accounts are growing..

    Mr President was saying that they were needing more engineers for the building of bridges but I have read just yesterday about our BIG BRIDGES IN AMERICA being built by China and their workers, that these jobs were going to t he Chinese and it showed those people doing the jobs…..We have given those jobs to them because they had workers that would work cheaper…….Here in Dalllas, Texas I know of a certainty that the Toll Road 121 iwas built and is owned by foreigners..so Mr. President some of the things you are telling us is NOT TRUE…..

      The government does give companies tax breaks for making hires. The companies know how to work the system. They announce a large layoff, wait a few months then do some hires so they can get the tax break. The green companies will do a bunch of hires on our dime, then go belly up and lay the employees off. Solyndra cut 1,000 loose after receiving a ton on money from us.

    I believe I heard this lady say that her husband has been out of work for 3 years, and, further, that they can not re-locate for some reason. It sounds to me like the guy is putting up barriers to keep from going to work. He probably thinks that he can hold out for top dollar, not realizing that jobs are scarce and that he may have to work for less, and, maybe, not exactly in his dream job.

    I was in the computer systems field for 40 years, and have more than a little insight. I think the primary reason the companies like the H1B program is that it but one step above indentured servitude. The worker cannot quit and pursue other jobs. While at a (formerly) very large mortgage lender, I was sickened to see the way these folks were treated. Their sponsor (pimp) would rent a 2 bedroom apartment near the office. They would bunk 2 to a room – no car need, walk to work. Every 18 months they would go back to India to see the family. They all knew thery were making less than the Americans, but it was a lot more than they could earn back home.

    Here is my take on "Lessons Learned" that pass over the heads of those supposidly in charge, i.e. the Federal Government. During the Civil War the South lost the war not because the North had better men and shooters. In fact I would stake my reputation on the fact that the South probably did have the upper hand on marksman ship. The South lost the war because the North had the industry that the South did not have. The North was the industrialized force. Here is the kicker, we as a nation are liquidating our industrial strength by sending all our industry to foreign nations. We no longer make our own steel, a good percentage of our automobile parts are made overseas as well. It is just a matter of time before we are no longer an industrial nation. When a war happens we will be totally dependent on foreign industry. No industrial labor in the United States we, just as the South did during the Civil War, will lose the war. We will have to get our tanks and planes from our enemies. Disclalimer: Not scientific or labor intensive reasearch went into this analysis. Just a litle common sense

    Is it just me or did the video have him very twitchy? Whatever – he's trying to buy another voter by saying he'd send her husband's resume to a company in great need of an engineer. In other words, one of his donors that he's repaid and still wants favors from. "Hey, Joe, I want you to hire this guy and after a month or so, feel free to dump him if you want!"

    I wonder if this will be held back and disappear into thin air as all of my posts for the past few weeks? It'll be interesting to find out.

    Telling this woman to send him her Husband's Resume, is the same thing as when he told Henrietta Hughes to see him after his speech. If you remember, Henrietta Hughes told obama she wanted a "Kitchen of her own"; meaning she wanted to have a house to live in. Obama told her to see him after the speech….. well, as would be predicted, he was nowhere in sight after the speech.

    Same ploy, no substance to his words. Might as well chuck that resume into the trash; the result will be the same.

    There is nothing like seeing someone caught with his thumb up his backside. The explanation is very simple. Companies will always seek to find employees who will accept lower pay for doing the job. A good example is Microsoft. Bill Gates spent a day in Washington, DC, whining about raising the limits on H1B visas so he could hire more "engineers", at the same time he was laying off or furloughing thousands of American workers at Microsoft. There are literally thousands of high tech engineers (American citizens) and thousands of new American citizen college graduates who are looking for jobs that are being filled with foreign H1B visa holders, who are willing to work for wages that are under current wage rates for Americans.

    Everyone that is unemployed should be flooding the WH with their resumes…the reason these companies want foreign engineers is they can bring them on board with a degree equivalent to that of MIT grad and pay half as much for them,plus not have to worry about a long term employment.

    You all don't understand anything about this "President?" He has been highly successful at doing his job as he sees it. He has always intended to pull down and ruin these United States. He never believed in the Constitution and in fact swore to defend it on a book he had no belief in. He is a little boy whose real father deserted him. His father hated the US, and he has spent his life trying to obtain his father's approval by doing what he thinks (probably rightly so) should be done to US.

    The reason industry says they have a high demand is they want to hire lower cost immigrant engineers. I've seen foreign engineers hired for 60-75% of going rates, with the justification being that they couldn't find US engineers to fill the position.

If he really cared about the State of the Union he would have done something positive to encourage growth in any field except clean energy since those jobs are only temporary. The pipeline would have created more jobs than what the experts say just due to the incidentals that everyone needs on a daily basis. He would not have spent $millions of our tax dollars on vacations! He would not have hired Czars to look into the problems he would have solved the problems we all know what they are.

Oh, maybe ACORN needs an engineer to rig explosives for the next Occupy protest, that could be it. I know, maybe, he has to replace the guy he had to hire to go around and tie all the shoes of everyone in his administration every morning so they could upgrade from those Velcro tennis shoes they were all so fond of.

    Well, I think all the unemployed who can't find a job should all send their resume' to Mr. Obama. I'm sure he can find them all a job. I think the bean fields are about ready to pick, they probably opened a McDonalds in Detroit somewhere, or there's a new solar panel company tooling up which should be good for at least temporary employment and reload unemployment eligibility.

    The software industry has been paying off for H1 status foreign engineers for years as they don't want to have to pay Americans a wage that would meet the American standard of living. This is not a new phenomena, this has been going on for years back to the Reagan years where his administration and all others since have turned a blind eye to the facts and have catered to the industry's demands for foreign labor because they could get the same work for less. This problem is real and has been conducted for years and is not directly related to the 08 economic decline. Thought I believe that decline and it's implications were used to influence an increase of this unethical practice. Big corporations own and run our government they hold themselves above the general ethics that control men because their acts are those without the conviction of conscience.

    This should be an invitation to swamp the White House with resumes. Take man child at his word, let him find jobs for all those resumes. Of course we all know Obama will never see the resume. His comment was just more BS form a man that is not in touch with the real world. He does not know what it is like to be unemployed and not knowing where to go (so let us make him unemployed this November). He has never had to go to a charity for food or utility payments or housing. He thinks just go to a factory and give them your resume and bingo, you are hired. But the problem is all the factories are either in China or Mexico. I would like to see him put in a car and taken to Detroit and down the streets that once were busy with folks working, there were help wanted signs and few if any closed signs, now all gone because our economy is in the crapper and he has done nothing to save it. Take him down route 5 in Buffalo by the giant silent skeletons of Bethlehem steel that are just that because our steel(which is a lower garade) now comes from China. These are jobs lost for one reason or other and jobs that won't come back no matter how much he wants to spend on so called incentives.

    What about Obama dodging the question by the Hemp Society about moving Cannabis/THC from Federal Schedule I (can’t be refilled without a new prescription) with heroin and LSD and put it where it is more fair with morphine, even though Pot is not addicting, or treat it like Tylenol and Codeine Schedule III so it can be refilled. During Prohibition, people got prescribed whiskey, they made criminals out of honest people that could not get a prescription for whiskey, like they are doing today with marijuana–you would think that for his base Obama would not sidestep this, and let the states have the rights, which the movement in the Schedule would do–it is not clear then what the reason is, unless it is like the Keystone project, the denial of which makes no sense until you find out the jobs are already allocated to Canadians they are bringing in etc…there is always a more complicated answer than we can see…still, wouldn’t Santorum see through all this in being rational and leaving people alone when they aren’t hurting anyone, being level headed and for States Rights and understanding the Medical need that substitutes for addicting opiates–not to mention accidents dont happen, or aggression, w/pot as alcohol (not to mention it prevents blindness in glaucoma –138 people go blind annually in one or more eyes because “tetra-hydro-cannab-inol” or THC (pot or cannabis, the stuff the Founders Washington and Jefferson according to their letter smoked )they would burn the fields and talk of gong down for a “whish of fresh air during the burning…” the female plant left over (and sold between friends, actually given away) and sold for profit the male plant (not resins like the female counterpart) off their farms to make rope (sennit) — pot helped to make our revolution with the other kind of tea, widespread then but gets band when governments get entrenched and the start the Big Lies, too big to be a lie so must be true) is not in Schedule II or III instead of one with LSD–and it helps people get along–as dose of something this country could use right now). The huge profit THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT makes the violence and crime, not the drug, it is not even “drugs dont hurt people, people hurt people,” it is one step higher, it is the law hurting people–as for example the FDA requires drug companies to mix with codeine, the toothache medicine, with a lot of acetaminophen (generic Tylenol) which causes liver damage in excess OR if routine use and a lot of alcohol–specifically so if someone tries to take a lot of codeine in Tylenol #3 (w/ a small half grain of codeine), not that harmful and the addiction is no big deal health wise or to behavior to society, and the person is normal if they can get it, THE OUTRAGEOUS THING IN IT (unknown to the public or now that the idea is entrenched, even the current government or recent past ones) that the extra Tylenol in it is not to offset pain but to purposely kill you by destroying your liver–the codeine totally takes care of the pain and no Tylenol is needed, it is there to cause liver damage in the overdose to teach you a less (so if someone ODs and dies, they can say codeine is bad, but the wouldn’t have died if the Tylenol was not in it), that is what kills the famous people and your friends–their murdered FDA liver, by the over-the-counter stuff they put in it so you can’t melt the tablet down and inject it without their extra goody drug we think is harmless kills you for bypassing their dictate so they kill you. Nice people, the former and present government drug-regulating bureaucrats, my way or Hell–you would think Obama could see through this like the rest of us and not be pushed around. How come Fox does not talk about drug issues and ways to get rid of gangs? Every 3 months, another state has to break federal law on this stupid pot thing–so what’s up with Obama?

    If Obama said that, he's even more out of touch than I thought. I know people who had been working six figure jobs in computers, math, science, some with master's andf all but dissertation defense for doctorates in STEM fields, who are out of steady work and commuting long distances to temporary jobs at far less, teaching English in China, roofing, etc. Engineers have to fit into incredibly narrow educational and work history pigeon holes, have perfect credit, and be young or their resumes get trash-canned without even being seen by a human.
