Outrageous: ESPN Sat on Molestation Tape Since 2002

So this assistant basketball coach at Syracuse, this guy — Fine is his name, Bernie Fine — has been accused of sexually molesting boys and students for a whole bunch of years. It turns out that ESPN had a tape since 2002 with evidence. ESPN has sat on evidence for nine years because they say they couldn’t corroborate it. On the tape the guy’s wife cops to it, saying she witnessed it and a ball boy admits it. They say they couldn’t corroborate it. I wonder if the coach’s name had been Paterno if ESPN woulda sat on this for nine years. They’re saying they couldn’t corroborate it.

“Syracuse fired assistant coach Bernie Fine Sunday after a 2002 phone recording emerged in which Fine’s wife told his accuser she was well aware that her husband had molested him. The tape had been in ESPN’s possession since former team ball boy Bobby Davis legally recorded it nearly a decade ago, but the network said it didn’t air it until Sunday, it said, because it didn’t have corroboration. Two other men have also come forward to say Fine molested them since Davis first accused Fine. The accusations became public after Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was fired amid allegations he sexually abused young boys.

“Davis made the tape after a brief talk with police in 2002. His allegations, which he brought to ESPN and the Syracuse Post-Standard at the time, created a journalistic conundrum for both: They didn’t know whether to report accusations that could be incredibly damaging to Fine, or to risk not exposing a child molester. Both news outlets opted not to report on the allegations, they said, because they couldn’t find anyone to support Davis’ account. Neither Davis nor ESPN passed on the tape to Syracuse University officials for an internal investigation of Fine in 2005. Syracuse chancellor Nancy Cantor noted in a statement Sunday that university officials did not have the tape at the time.

You might want to check your facts – I thought I heard that ESPN just became aware of this taped conversation in the last few days.

    • Brama

If the tape was recorded and in their possession for over a decade, you might want to investigate the kool aid you were offered from ESPN.

      • URKiddinMee

        Well said, Brama.

        • Brama

And of course, they can’t use the excuse that nobody reviewed the tape(s), because a few somebodies had to have been there during its recording.

          • pistolero

What else can we expect from the LIBS at ESPN. Mustn’t harm the reputation of one of their glory boys now must we!!!!

      • daves

I think that what PDE is saying is that maybe this article isn’t accurate.

      • T Lady

        LOL! Yes, indeed.

      • Infidel

Another tip of the Iceberg surfaces.
Child molestation in College, and I will bet High school sports programs, is rampant.
These are not just 2 isolated incidents, it is an indication of what goes on in many if not most college programs

        • Lenaer Nichols

          To Infidel, You are so right about sexual activity in grade school and high school. It is really hard to get Principles or board members to listen to you when you are a kid. I can remember in the fifty’s there was teachers and coaches who did that. and in grade school when a coach was accused the girl ended up leaving school because the principle didn’t believe her. I told my granddaughter” if he ever touched her in that way to pick up an equalizer and lay him out. I and a good attorney would take care of the rest.” I knew several girls that told the same story on this same coach…..{Nothing was done ,he finally retired..}

          • Nick

One thing they either didn’t teach you, or you were asleep at the time, is the difference between “principle” (source of something; natural tendency; fundamental truth or law; rule of conduct; essential element) and “principal” (first in rank, authority or importance; presiding officer of a school.) And it’s the “fifties” (plural of fifty). “Fifty’s” means belonging to fifty.

          • Paula Gail Waters

You need to know how to spell the word “principal” – it’s not principle, oh unknowledgable one.

    • mesaman

Facts? ESPN? ABC? You are being facetious, right? But aside your foolishness, now we can’t even trust a wannabee jockstrapper. How sad it has become Every Stupid Player News.

      • http://GBVieto@hotmail.com George Bernard Vieto

Another acronym I call them is Everybody’s Stupid Pinhead Network.

    • http://www.BornAgainHeathens.com Tim Hays

Unless you sit on some sort of over sight committee at ESPN, what makes you believe they have any more honor than any other media source?

    • arpiem

Actually, you should check yours, because ESPN admits they had the tape since 2002.

    • The Truth

Whoever knew about this, whoever decided not to expose and air this, whoever was in charge and didn’t allow this to come forward…NEEDS TO BE IN PRISON !!!

      SHAME ON YOU – ESPN !!!…You are now a “Criminal Enterprise”….PERIOD !

  • Insurgent

Syracuse and PENNetration State both recruit with the same motto,

    “We stand behind our boys!”

    • David

Well now, both coaches are forced to withdraw.

      • Abe Lincoln

Dear David: Offside penalty. Ten yards and to the shower!

      • Lenaer Nichols

Good they need to be castrated..Or worse

    • http://HOTMAIL Trainman

Good one Insurgent! Far as ESPN goes which is a station owned by ABC, what else could we expect. Here’s a company that fired Hank Williams Jr. just for speaking his mind, this is still America isn’t it where we do have freedom of speech? I’ve know for many years now that ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN (and all these own other affiliate stations) are all bias racist company’s which I would say must be Demo-rats.

      • Chuck

Democrats!? Do you really think so?

        • Are You Serious

          No question!!!

        • http://CONSERVATIVEBYTE SQUEAK

Chuck, of course Democrats, how obvious can a person, network get ???

        • Lenaer Nichols

Yes, they are Democrats.I use to be one and know most of them…

      • Proud American

If it smells, acts and behaves like a D-rat is it a RAT. Just look at how they stand in all moral issues and people are still wondering.

    • arpiem

I wish people would stop condemning Penn State and Joe Paterno, because neither had anything to do with what Sandusky did. Period! If ESPN sat on this since 2002, some heads should roll there. It was largely ESPN who brought Paterno, who was not a target by the prosecutor’s office, into it because they wanted the sensationalism.

      • darby

        Bull S%$#!
Paterno knew what was goin on, he just never did everything he could to stop it. If he was a good coach he would have beat the dude, but good the sec he found out he was showerin let alone playin with the boys, then fired him.
What coach showers with his team? Where’s the dads of these kids that get played with? How come there not beatin his a@# when they find out he was showerin with the kids. I never had a coach that did that or even a gym teacher. Joey didn’t want to make waves either…PENNetration State , That was good!

      • http://CONSERVATIVEBYTE SQUEAK

Arpiem, well said, we agree..ESPN should be taken off the airwaves..they are for Democrats , liberals & stretch the truth to make big news.. heads should roll by all means… it is about time these liberal news media get what they deserve !!

      • Catfish

Old Joe hired Sandusky, he was his employee and his responsibility. All head coaches hire and fire their coaches. Do you think for one second that Mack Brown would let an active homo sex offender continue as one of his assistant?

    • marv Carman

Most northerners are behind the boy for Penn and others. Homo Obama said he tried homo activities at Harvard. When going north, you will have to watch your assets.

      • darby

        Marv,

what about all the daddys in the south havin sex with there daughters that is big down here man. hell my x from Al. her brother in law just got out of prison a few years ago for doin 2 of his daughters!

        • Lenaer Nichols

I’ve been all over the states and I’m here to tell you the south is no worse then anywhere else. This has been a rumor for years but you can find that going on in any part of the country and just as bad.

          • pistolero

I do believe it is called INCEST!!! Incest is against the law in all 57, ooopps, 50 states.

    • Shannon

Do you think it’s funny to make fun of pediphilia Insurgent? Or is that just your way of jabbing Penn State, Joe Paterno or Universities in general?
For all the morally superior posters, comedians, media and talking heads….blasting all things PSU has been the order of the day and not the victims and certainly not the truth or due process.
For the media it’s about ratings.
As to the posters on here, it’s a sad commentary.
Many reputations have been sullied without all the facts, as one who believes in the Constitution, I will wait to hear all the facts before I take out my pitchfork and torch.
As to Syracuse…there was direct evidence, a taped phone call from an alleged accuser and Fine’s wife that all but corroborated his allegations. This isn’t a Grand Jury testimony of allegations after one man: Sandusky. This is vocal proof….and ESPN sat on it for years.
Yet, there’s no real media on this.
ESPN is owned by Disney, they don’t want to look like they cover up molestation.
Alot of Syracuse grads work at ESPN.
Joe Paterno is a staunch Republican.

I hope the whole truth comes to light and when the full Grand Jury testimony is released, Paterno sues ESPN…but he won’t.

      • Charles

You are correct. Such people as Insurgent and Darby are part of the problem. I have also been in most of the fifty States. Comments such as the remarks about the South are childish and a myth and only serves to downplay the existence of Pedophilia .

I could be wrong but I don’t think that Disney has owned ESPN since 2002 but that should have little to do with it. If ESPN sat on the tapes since 2002 then they are guilty of Obstruction of Justice at a minimum. Who knows for how long the people involved continued their actions and whether or not it would have stopped if ESPN had released the tapes or contacted the proper authorities?

Just one of the many things that is done to give athletes a free pass. People who idolize and worship the Sports have all but forgotten about M. VICK.

  • David

Back in the old days the media never outed sex behavior. Example was John F. Kennedy, and the rest of the boys in his family.

    • John

Sexual behavior is on thing. Sexual behavior with children is another.

      • Are You Serious

I think they are both an on thing. Lol

        • Bruce

I guess it is short for Roto Rottweiler.

AMEN!!!!!!! George, Take a deep breath and see if you can hold it until you hit the susage department.

Send them to the pen and let the fun begin and see how much they like tables reversed on them.
    Filthy pigs that they are.

    • Abe Lincoln

Dear Colo43: Child molesters never last long in Prision! Send them there now!

      • http://sassyhen@sccc.tv Henry

While they are in the “Pen”. Tattoo “Child Molester on their Rear ends so that they can get a taste of their own Medicine!!”Nuff Said!

      • PrincessPhilly

It was already stated Sandusky will be kept in confinement so he has no interaction with the prison immates. I was hoping they would take care of him and save our tax dollars since he won’t get much jail time with all the cover up and everyone is going very lenient on him. Can’t give much jail time to their hero who can do all the wrong he wants and Americans still think he is a hero. Just like OJ Simpson.

      • SickoftheBS

Is it all right if we wait for them to be convicted in a court of law instead of a court of public opinion.
Too easy to get it thrown out when convicted by the court of public opinion.

      • pistolero

Oh yeah, child molesters last a while in prison. They just become “girls” to the big boys. When a known one shows up at the front door, the boys on the yard start bidding as to who gets firsts. Having worked in the Fed System for many years, I have seen it over and over again.

  • Tom

As long as it’s about sports demi-gods, and not some unknown person who doesn’t put sports ahead of decency, ESPN will not report anything to hurt a popular figure. Would they have kept still about Penn State? Of course, why damage SPORTS when that’s what they thrive on. And who cares if the boys are hurt by it, all the big shots have to be covered for until there isn’t any way to hide what’s been done. That’s the way it always is.

    • Sniffles

Why? – do all of the sports jocks have to sign a waiver with the 3 monkeys on the letterhead? (hear no – see no – speak no).

  • politicstick

A responsible journalist???? Did Bobby have any parents????

    • John

      ESPN has Journalists?

  • Monica

I’ll be interested to see if any charges are filed against ESPN now.

    • Chuck

      On what basis?

      • URKiddinMee

Oh, I dunno . . . witholding evidence maybe? Aiding and abetting criminal activity?

    • Ken Frazier

Monica, Charges may or may not be filed, but you can bet a role, as the odds are great ,that the parents of these kids will be filing multiple law suits. I would also bet on ESPN losing.

      • SickoftheBS

ESPN is not under any rule to report things they cannot confirm. (one would think they would leak their suspicions to the Authorities’ for investigation) Wish all the media would do the same. Start reporting the news (fairly) not just the sensational aspects of it.

        • Shannon

They couldn’t confirm that was Mrs. Fine on the phone???

      • rocky

Parents are going to do something. Aren’t these individuals adults now? Why would parents do anything when they couldn’t tell anything happened to their kid when it did happen? If they did, they didn’t do anything about it right after it happened.

  • bob s

Yeh.. they don’t care as long as they have sports..who cares…. of course probably most of them are of the same persuasion… they enjoy the man to man relationship…that is what is wrong with our country now… of course people like barney frank think that it is okay.. so he is probably doing the same thing with the pages in congress… what a messed up world we live in where the queers are protected…. by others in congress………….. end times are comming….

  • Eddie

ESPN showed its political correctness stance with Rush Limbaugh and their decision making has been skewed ever since in my mind. Terrible judgement comes from trying to maneuver around the truth rather than go after it. It’s so true in politics and the media. With this story it shows that ESPN is lacking management with good judgement for sure!

  • #1 Sooner

These men are immoral and disgusting! Why are the universities not reporting these atrocities against young men/boys? Also, ESPN should be ashamed for not doing something – does that mean that they think being a pedaphile is okay??? God will take care of them and their sinful ways and we should all be praying for the unfortunate victims and their families.

    • Dingle

Being ashamed doesn’t cut it; that is for people with morals. They are willing accomplices. When you do not report a crime, you are complicit. That is another crime in itself.

Why aren’t the police investigating ESPN?

    • RangerWW2

#1 Sooner, You call them ‘men’.. I call them animals, with apologies to the animals !
The way I see it, the silence of the Clergy, for fear of losing their tax-exempt status have
let the rulers of this nation, make us into a place that resembles Sodom and Gomorrah.
The communist ACLU speaks and we get weak in the knees, and seem to be afraid to use the proper word ‘homosexuality’ that God calls an abomination, we’d rather play their ‘word-games’ and call it “gay”.. there is nothing gay about this life choice, it is deadly… and as one Christian lady said… If God doesn’t judge our nation for this wickedness, Sodom and Gomorrah are owed an apology… I agree.

  • Caped Crusader

I’ll bet you five hundred dollars against a chocolate doughnut, That if that had been Herman Cain, They would have reported it before they got the tape all watched……..

  • Abe Lincoln

What do you expect from the crooked Liberal press who is busy playing, “leap-frog” with lttle boys! Cut off thier privates and shove them down their throats for being perverts!!!

Lorena Bobbitt had the right idea. I wonder why Bernie Fine’s wife didn’t do that.

      • debbi

Because she is as morally bankrupt as he is. She had money, position, prestige from being the wife of a big time football coach. Why would she do the right thing?

  • Charles Bodman

They need to be held accountable for not reporting to authority

    • SickoftheBS

      Did the victim report it?
Why would ESPN be remiss for not reporting it if the victim did not.?

  • http://www.ivegotcoverage.com/72018526 servant

ESPN sat on evidence tapes since 2002? Because they had no proof?
Then why do they haul out all those woman that accuse Cain, all without proof?
Why oh why, ESPN, did you not turn over the tapes to the D.A’s office and allow them to make the choice?
In my book that makes you a CO-CONSPIRATORS & EQUALLY GUILTY!

America, America where and when did we become people who are so afraid of being sued and dragged through the mud and slime of our institutions of higher learning. Say what you want, but certainly the values of those in leadership of these institutions just don’t have the desire to get into lifes dirty secrets. We look down from these ivory towers and more and more what we see is unreported gross perversions against children. Jesus H. Christ, we can not do better than this. We, with our schools, universities, governments, unions and our people in general are going to have to take our country back. Obama has failed us at every turn in the road. The man is so incompetant at everything he does and worst of all he lies like a pro. IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS IT’S A LIE BUT HE BELIEVES WE ARE JUST TOOOOOOO DAMNED STUPID TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT HIM. COMEONMAM, OBAMA MUST GO. AMERICA CAN NOT TAKE MORE OF THIS FOOL.

    • http://www.newlewis.net Bob

Let’s get real. I am no fan of our current President but we can’t blame everything on him especially since all of these issues occurred before he took office. Unfortunately we could get rid of him tomorrow but the culture that elected him will still exist.

Yeah!!!!!! Here we go, It’s Bushes fault……..

      • RangerWW2

Yes Bob, Let’s get real, this Kenyan ‘usurper’ in the Oval Office, sealed his records the first day he took office…. I wonder why anyone would do that unless they had something to hide.. I don’t blame him alone for working diligently to destroy our Constitution, and our Republic, I blame
the ‘puppeteers’ who are keeping him in power, according Article II Section I of our Constitution he should not be there… where is the genuine proof… not forgeries ?

Wasn’t it the very righteous ESPN that fired Hank Williams Jr.? For a joke? Now we find that they have pedophile muck on their own hands. They need to fire themselves now lol.
I hope Hank writes a song about these hypocrites.
“Tell me Hank, Why does ESPN twiddle, when uppity sports people DIDDLE and why don’t they live out the words that they spoke?” They sit on their high horse and as long as they can hide, their own embarrassing support for this Diddler FINE, they think they can judge their most superior betters.” “Now the light is shining, and snakes go into hiding and “Gee, oh darn OH MY, we just couldn’t believe anything bad against a really good “Sports Guy” could we”
“Tell Me HANK …” you can imagine the tune and make up some more of this sick little ditty for the ESPN Diddlers support crew!!!

    • debbi

Isn’t it funny…what goes around comes around and can bite you hard on the A&$. Will we see or hear of a full-fledged investigation on this or will it be swept under the rug or filed in the nearest circular file?

        Sweep under the rug.

  • Chuck

Just goes to show you that ALL media makes corrupt compromises (even FOX) in order to keep getting the big bucks. It is amazing and sad how money can turn blind eyes to injustice. Just like the public outcry against the Penn State tragedy there should be the same against ESPN. Heads should be rolloing (just like Paterno’s) at ESPN.

    • debbi

Money talks, some people and organisations listen. People have a price. In this case, the price was much too high. They are all covered in dung.

It is time to drain the swamp. Start with Politicians and work our way down. The Permissive Society has been going on for over 40 years starting with the hippies during the Vietnam War and continues pretty much unabated. If it feels good, do it, right? Slick Willie was the worst example of aberrant behavior and he set the example for all these others.

    • Kitty Kat

Mike you can’t be very old to make that statement about BC. JFK was doing it way back when you were a twinkle in your poppy’s eye. And he did it in sequence, aided and abetted by the Secret Service. He learned it from his father, etc.

      • Elaine Connelly

I agree. Were you aware that General Eisenhower had an affair with his driver? (She was a WAC). I say if you can’t keep your pants zipped, you shouldn’t be president.

        • pistolero

Have you ever spent years away from your family as Eisenhower did? Then have an attractive WAC Lt wind up as your driver/aide? She was British and was given special note by congress to receive the commission she held. Did I mention she was an attractive WAC?? Oh yes, I did didn’t I.
As far as JFK is concerned, at least he had the most beautiful woman in existance at the time, IE: Marilyn Monroe. Now tell me you would have kicked her out of bed!!! I would have………
          MORE ROOM ON THE FLOOR!!!

  • Chris

ESPN should have given the tapes to the police so that the authorites could conduct an investigation. ESPN is not a policing agency. However, if anyone has evidence of criminal behavior, at the very least they have a moral obligation and sometimes a legal obligation to hand over what they have. ESPN thinks it should conduct its own investigations. Most likely for monetary gain. Be the first to break a story. Shame on them!

    • SickoftheBS

You first have to know the difference between evidence of a crime and suspicion of a crime!

  • Winston

It should be clear by now that the “Sports” is a good-old-boy system to protect the “acclaimed” and an innocent damaged child is a LIAR until there’s a second innocent damaged child to corroborate a sex offender. So, “buggering” little boys by homosexual/perverted men in power is a hands off situation by others in power: adcademia leadership, Sports news media, and even parents of the boys until ENOUGH damaged little boys can corroborate even one event. This is disgusting. ESPN is as guilty as if they had committed the act themselves.

  • 57 girl

Now that Fine has been fired, it is time he is prosecuted for his crimes. Tattoo a great big “CM” on his forehead and throw him into the general population. Let him experience life as the victim of molestation.

  • hueychief

But you know college sports is BIG money and….. and……

    • Chuck

College sports is a multi-billion dollar business. Not amateur athletics.

  • Mocha 10

Time for all the big guns at ESPN to start packing or go to jail with these guys. This is just the beginning of discovering what the media is all about. They don’t report news anymore, they report opinions. 99% of the time they are liberal opinions.

  • Arthur Konyak

This administration wants us to believe that this is normal sexual behavior not aberrant behavior. The Democrats have always supported the homosexual cause. Colleges now don’t care about morals; they want recruits that can dunk a basketball, catch a pass, run fast, and don’t care about their behavior off the field. Many or most who finish college careers (most don’t graduate) can’t even do simple math or speak intelligently. They get big signing bonus to play pro ball, and make outrageous salaries, but when they retire, they go broke spending their money on cars, houses, drugs, and the like. There’s too much money to be made for the news and sports networks to step up and report the truth.

    • Ruth Bacon

AK – Interesting statement – “government wants us to believe this is normal behavior.” We are, rightly, condemning these sports figures, yet, Obama has Kevin Jennings as his “safe schools czar” (good grief!) who believes that it is good for little boys to have sexual experimentation with older men. Google the name Kevin Jennings and read about his past and his endorsement of such behavior.

  • Brama

ESPN didn’t just sit on tapes, they sat on evidence. They should have forwarded the tapes on to the police for further investigation. This is a serious black eye for ESPN. I wonder if legal charges could be brought? Who are you, ESPN, to corroborate a story before sending something like this to the police?! You share in Paterno’s shame!

  • Jim

Well what do you expect when the so called Leader of this nation on down embraces homosexuality as normal and homosexuals as heros? I know you will say that these guys were pedaphiles which is different. BS it is just homosexuals on the prowl who have lowered their own age of consent to who ever they can prey upon. Funny how its always boys and never any little girls who have been made victims. Says it all. Just wait and see all the other evil that will be unleashed upon this country if Obozo gets reelected. A society that condons and makes heros out of sick sex practicitioners will go along with anything.

    • Are You Serious

Not if, but when. Be prepared. Buy guns while you still can. Buy precious metal, Bullets!!!

    • pistolero

Much of the same goes on with female coaches and their “girls”. You just don’t hear that much about it.

  • SU Fan

Actually, PDE, you should check the facts. ESPN absolutely had a copy of the tape since at least 2003. They’ve been trying to explain why they didn’t take it to authorities. And instead of taking it to the police, they aired it on national TV. If any children were molested since 2002, they are culpable.

  • SadMom

May I remind you “Roman Polanski”. (Most in) The Entertainment, Media, Sports Industries unfortunately they live by a different moral code. “Fill my pockets and my brotha’s.”

  • L.E. Liesner

You can bet the farm that there will be no outrage toward ESPN when the dust clears. The media spurs the outrage to whomever they feel deserves it, but never toward themselves.

  • TBV

The politically correct boys will promote homosexuallity, so it’s no be suprise they sit on evidence. ESPN has just become another political push for the progressive social agenda that is destroying the country.

  • Jerry

Prosecute that liberal msm to the fullest extent of the law! There is enough of the msm not reporting the news as the others NBC, ABC, and all of the rest of them! It is wrong for them to not report as following their boss, george soros using his muscle to make his reporting what he wants it to be! Maybe because of who ever found out about ESPN george soros empire is falling along with the whole liberal mess of non-journalists! Fire them or censure them from reporting what they term as news! This junk should have been stopped a long time ago!

  • Jerry

The main stream media seems as it is full of homos! Their deviant attitudes tend to associate themselves with penitentiary life that is also associated with drugs! Those dim-msm-associations tend to be in politics as in “no more tickle parties for Massa” as a New York congressman went around the country with his psychotic mentality saying he didn’t do it but he had the authority to make his subordinates do what ever he said do! At least Herman Cain is charged as a heterosexual after David Axelrod made those women lie on Herman! So this is why zero like basketball! Homos are there! Now somebody tell zero about killing those gays to become state senator when he was in Jerry’s Wright church!

    • SickoftheBS

Thats because the MSM is full of liberals who think nothing of same sex marriage.
Think nothing of reporting sexual perversion unless they can make a buck off it without hurting another liberal.
Think nothing of reporting slander about a republican candidate but refuses to report the truth about a POS in the WH bent on destroying America as we knew it.
Remeber that POS was sucking D*^# way back, (probably started back in his home country of Kenya)

  • Pastor Carmen

Just plan sickness that has over come us they should cut his you know what off.

      His ear……Lol

  • SU Fan

Actually, Daves, ESPN has admitted that they had the tape since 2003. They’re trying to explain why they didn’t release it sooner. This article is absolutely accurate!

  • Jennifer

This is why I hate the sports industry along with Hollywood and the political field. No one is held accountable for their actions. People hide things away for money or self serving benefits. We live in a self-centered and morally corrupt world… It is becoming Sodom and Gomorrah!

  • Bill

ESPN has gotten way to big for its britches, time make the old boy school have a time out.

Could we really expect any less from CNN – the network Ted Turner helped create – and then commented publicly how he admired Fidel(infidel) Castro! Funny – had Ted Turner chosen Che he could have had more justification, while he was a serious murderer, he was true to his beliefs, and he was set up and dumped by Castro after Castro used him, and he actually protected some innocents in his violent career. Ted got it wrong. CNN got it wrong. The Democrats got it Wrong. They keep backing communists, terrorists, both foreign and domestic, marxists, and known enemies of freedom, and our nation, and the humanitarian rights of innocents worldwide. They support these groups often by putting money into groups that support or harbor terror – Hamas, Hesbolah, Taliban, the newer ones, Al Qaida, and on and on (Sorry about the spelling of the groups) You get the point!

    • Sniffles

You forgot one – Jane Fonda – Little Teddy keeps kneeling on her behind

  • JMJ

This sounds very much like the Boston Globe, that “sat” on it’s information about a certain priest for 6 years & for some “strange” reason it finally “broke” the news & of course, our A.G. didn’t even blink an eye or file charges against the Globe. Think of how many boy’s lives that could have been saved (the ones that looked & found what they looked for, don’t count)? +JMJ+

  • Al Duhan

This is what I expect from MSNBC, they kie about everything and always protect the criminals first.

    Must be Bush’s fault!

Bobby sue ESPN just like the Altar Boys sued the Catholic Church !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gay pride is not what we were led to believe. Homosexuality appears to be a sex addiction, especially, since the human gnome project determined there is no ‘gay’ gene. First, ‘pedophile priests’ turned out to be 82% men with teenage boys (13 and over). The offenders represented about 3% of the priests between 1965-1995. Second, public schools have not begun to clean up and are estimated to be 5-6% sex offenders today. Third, the courts should suspend the statute of limitations and allow law suits against public schools, as was done exclusively against the Catholic Church. Forth, the California schools gay ‘roll model’ Harvey Milk had conquests with under age boys (read his autobiography). Therefore, homosexuality is not the innocent attraction we are led to believe. Already NAMBLA demands civil rights and I do not see any media or ‘gay’ condemnation. I rest my case. Peace.

What do you expect…Obama and Holder set the standards for deceit, lying and refusal to cooperate with the law and the Constitution. Our dear Country is in dire straits because this administration has set the standards of conduct.

  • Another Veteran

Anyone who had knowledge of these events and retired should have their retirement benefits eliminated and brought up on charges of aiding and abetting child molestation. Moreover, ESPN is now culpable and more than likely liable so there may be a lot of good lawsuits here. Let’s watch the lawyers jockey for 1st place in their representation. Potential of big, big bucks here.

  • Joe Help

Very interesting since ESPN made Ohio State turn over emails about a tattoo case and yet they sat on these since 2002. What Hippocrates!!! Yes they fall right into our great Obama, Holder, Pelosi, Biden and the rest. Someday they all will be judged and guest what – there will be no lying attorneys to bail them out. Could get kind of hot!!

  • Frank Clarady

Does anyone here really expect anything different or better from ESPN? You know . . . the network that puts the BS into BCS . . . ?! All you have to do is listen to the way Colin Cowherd and John Kinkaide parrot ESPNs talking points about how great the SEC is, how undeserving Boise State and TCU are, and how there’s not a damn thing wrong with the BCS to know that they’ve become a criminally corrupt enterprise involved in a criminal conspiracy with the BCS and the SEC. If there’s money to be made, they’ll stoop to it–no matter how blatantly wrong or illegal–and that includes sitting on a tape for nearly a decade that outs a sick POS child molester! If they had it in their posession, then that begs the question of WHY the hell didn’t they at least turn it over to their local DA, or better yet, the FBI? Just like with Penn State, no one will ever know how many innocent children could’ve been spared if someone (or many someones!) had grown a pair and did the right thing. But, as we all know, money trumps morality every f—ing time! Silly me . . . What the hell was I thinking??!!

  • Sanderson

Papa Joe was fired for not doing enough. Will ESPN get fired by the angry public, too?

  • givedemsadirtnap

Homosexuality should be outlawed in this nation!! Just look what diversity has brought us!! They are wanting marriage today, tomorrow they will demand your children’s virginity! This is clearly a mental disorder and they should all be in the insane asylum!! As for ESPN, we have boycotted those liberal/commie scum suckers since they fired Hank. Don’t expect an investigation from the DOJ either. The thugs running DC just loves this stuff, while we are talking about this they are steadily stealing your money and mine, continuing the coverups of Solyndra, Fast and Furious, etc.. And you will see much more to come from the main stream media that are definite collaberators and state run by the Obama/Soros/Union/Democrats/Communist/Socialist machine that hates this country and is doing everything in their power to ruin it! Wake Up Amerika!!

  • http://conservativebyte buck

Whats the difference , with legal and accepted homosexuality it is no different than statutory rape of a female by a male heterasexual . Everyone , even the perverts , wants the cherry . Get over it , pandoras box has been opened and unless we find a way to close it pedaphelia will soon be acceptable and will cease to be a crime , as well as incest , beastiality , and many will become undertakers assistants just to have sex with a corpse , because a corpse doesn’t resist sexual advances . Isn’t tolerance great ? We have to now tolerate everything because no one has the guts to stand up and say what we should not tolerate , except of course the secularists demand that we don’t tolerate religion .

  • TNFamily

ESPN sits on the story of molestation for YEARS and yet Ol Hank makes a tongue in cheek comparison and they IMMEDIATELY pull his song from MNFootball. I have no respect for this higher than thou network. But then again, why should I expect anything different from a bunch of primadonna has beens.

  • Bernard England III

Hey lets hear it for ESPN another leftist organization, its O.K. as long as they arent republicans.

  • OBB

This means that ESPN is as guilty as the offender!!!

  • ONTIME

If academia had a reputation for being in the forefront of the learned, it is now in dire straits. This ought to inspire the masses to ask, “What the hell are you teaching my kid and why am I paying you for it?”….Maybe indicate it isn’t worth the cost.

In the military it was made quite clear, a piece of paper was no indication you were a officer of caliber or a gentleman, this can be paraphrased to indicate the condition of the college degree as it slowly becomes a worthless status symbol. With all that has been exposed in these two colleges of note, one can only assume that some kind of perverted contest took place over a long number of years…..

  • David

I often wondered why the good Lord never had it in His plans for my life to have a big family with lots of kids. Now I know, if MY son or daughter were molested the guilty party would vanish. God doesn’t want me to be a murderer.

    • Sniffles

      AMEN – to that

    • Frank Clarady

My friend, it wouldn’t be murder. You’ld just be doing a public service by cleaning the gene pool.

  • JudyG46

It just seems to me that over the decades people are more and more afraid to speak out honestly and to reveal any type of improprieties! What is everyone so afraid of??? I believe the truth always wins out, even though we may have a tough time afterward.

We need to stop being afraid to stand up for righteousness and virtue…and start opening up and being forthright and honest. People may say we’re weird, but in the long run it always pays off. Look what could have been prevented if those who knew about what happened with Penn State and now Syracuse had spoken up when these abominations first occurred.

And even the wife knew what had happened and said nothing. How sad.

  • Commonsense

Why did ESPN sit on the tape? Count the number of Syracuse alumni at ESPN.

  • NOZ

AS THE SAYING GOES !!!!!!! DUMB ESPN SPORTS JOCKS ALWAYS A DUMB ESPN SPORTS JOCKS.

  • chuck

If that had been Ohio State they would surely have released the tape…for whatever reason ESPN hates Ohio State!

  • Daniel Lee Troost

I stop watching ESPN years ago!!!!

  • R. C.

This sounds jsut like something the ” O B U M A ” group would do. What has ever happened to the 5 ” W ” of Journalism. They are ” WHAT; WHERE; WHY; WHEN AND WHO “. I learned this in High School Journalism Class in the mid 1950′s. Has the Journalism world change so much in this amount of time? I hope not. If it has, then we have some real questions to aak any news organization that wants to put its news on the airways. Time to wake up and die right.

  • Herberts444

Is ESPN owned by either the Disney Corp or the Catholic Church?

    • Frank Clarady

    : Consider This
    PLEASE CONSIDER THIS MESSAGE !!!!

When we get 100,000,000, that’s one hundred million willing Christians to BOND together, voice their concerns and vote, we can take back America with God’s help, Become one of the One hundred million, then lets get 200 million. It can be done by sending this email to your friends. Do the math. It only takes a willing heart and a fed up soul. God Bless America and Shine your light on Her..
    In
    1952
    President Truman
established one day a year as a
    “NationalDay of Prayer.”
    —————————————————————————————————————————-

    In
    1988
    President Reagan
    designated the
First Thursday in May of each year as
    the National Dayof Prayer.
    —————————————————————————————————————————

    In June
    2007
    (then)
    Presidential
    Candidate Barack Obama
    declared that the USA
    “Was no longer a
    Christian nation.”
    —————————————————————
    This year
    President Obama
    canceled the
    21st annual National Day
    of Prayer ceremony
    at the White
    House under the ruse
Of “not wanting to offend anyone”

    ————————————————————————

    BUT… on September 25, 2009
from 4 AM until 7 PM,
    a National Day of Prayer
    FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION
    was Held on Capitol Hill,
    Beside the White House.
    There were over 50,000 Muslims
    in D.C. that day.

    HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!

    I guess it Doesn’t matter
    if “Christians”
Are offended by this event –
    We obviously
    Don’t count as
    “anyone” Anymore.

The direction this country is headed
should strike fear in the heart of every Christian,
    especially knowing that the
Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be
    converted, they should be annihilated.

This is not a Rumor -
    Go to the website
    To confirm this info:

    Send this to ten people
    and the person who
    sent it to you!…
    to let them know that
    indeed, it was sent
    out to many more.

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

  • Sunseeker

ESPN, like the majority of “Amerika” is being controlled by the Muslim-Marxist and his communist minions. If you wre observant, you’d realize how the content and tone of ESPN has changed. They’re more interested in making R-rated movies, segments on he-she’s (Denise Richards) and accusations that the USTA is racist in it’s seeding of the US Open tennis tournament! I don’t give ESPN a second of my time as they are controlled by the Muslim-Marxist, as the state-run media is. You fools out there don’t realize, yet, that you no longer have a free country as you no longer have a free press. How about the majority of the commercials on TV having the blacks in a position of authority and superiority over the dumb white subordinates! Change… you got your change, Ihope your happy with it as it is only going to get worse unless this Muslim-Marxist is impeached or military coup!

  • pistolero

A military coupe isn’t gonna happen!!! If I said what I think will happen, I’d have the secret service at my front door before the day is out arresting me for fomenting an uprising against the guvmint. Invest in precious metals (lead). Save your old wheel weights, (they melt down and make neat bullets).

  • Steve

Don’t kid yourselves…..ESPN is all about the money and taking care of their own! Corporate America has no morals. Boycott ESPN and send them to jail for being an accomplice.

  • Steve LoughtoN

Is it wrong that I hope there will be a victim to come forward during the period in which ESPN sat on the tape just so ESPN can get what is coming to them and get completely blasted by the rest of the country?

Funny they crucified Paterno for all this moral nonsense while they basically did the same thing here.

  • Bokassa Kentucky

ESPN/ABC have turned into nothing more then a perverse organization working in compliance with Satan for the complete downfall of the morality in the United States. Look at the recent ESPN the magazine issue titled: The Body. It is nothing more than a salute to nudity and is totally distasteful and uncalled for. Yet these people try to appear “sensitive and concerned” by doing things like the firing of Hank Williams Jr. There is a word which describes folks like them…hypocrites. Aside from actual games I no longer view any programing on ESPN. Thank God for the MLB and NFL networks.
