  At no time in my life has any teacher, or for that matter any other English person ever indicated to me any feeling of hatred towards US citizens. You do read about it and you may even see it in a movie, but you have to judge that by where it comes from; the news and entertainment media. They continuously try to divide people by exaggeration and fiction.

      You’re right, the oath didn’t die for the military, but I can safely wager that it died an ignominious death for all of our illustrious politicians who sell out to stay in power. When I took my first oath in 1979 to protect and defend my country and the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, I bet it was the same oath those elected cretins took when assuming their offices. I am torn when I see this current POTUS doing what I perceive as a great disservice to the US population and TREASON to the country while trying to tear down the Constitution. I can’t believe the majority of citizens turn blind eyes to that TREASON and to the same being perpetrated by many of our officials, elected and unelected.

    Well David, I am an American Living in London (I have been here three years, and have been married to my British husband for about ten). Because I am not obviously American unless I open my mouth, I hear loads of anti-American sentiment expressed: at bus stops, restaurants, parties, etc. I have many British friends here who are very respectful towards me, but especially in London, there is, undeniably, a fair amount of hatred. I find it ironic that it is the one nationality it is acceptable to denigrate here!

    I am an American living here in the Ukraine. Because of Ukrainian Immigration and work laws about the only job a non-native can obtain is as a native speaker teaching English. When I have to be spoken too like a 2nd Class Citizen by members of the British Council because I do not speak or write “International English” (read that as clearly British English) or told that I am not employable as an English Teacher because I don’t have an ENTRY level certificate from a Cambridge University English Instructor’s Course it only SOLIDIFIES the great distain here for all non-British speakers of English and only enforces the belief that Britians are a bunch of arrogant bastards. Sorry to say it that way but you should be here to hear it. It exists. I have to live with it every day.

Yes, many Elitist Brits generally resent us. But, more to the point, why would anyone berate a poor Jewish person? Especially the members of the OWS movement. Who, by their own accounts, are supposedly trying to stand up for the poor and oppressed. (LOL) So, why berate a poor Jewish person?

The Obviously Way Stupid Protestors on Wall Street and elsewhere are Fascists, PERIOD! Look what they did to the Jews in WWII. Then ask why would any of them berate a poor Jew… Simple……… They Hate Jews (and Blacks, and Asians, and Latinos,) and anyone else they believe is responsible for their unhappiness; whenever it is convenient to blame somebody else rather than own up to their own shortcomings.

Heck, the Obviously Way Stupid Protestors have already embraced the Nazi Party, and the American Communist Party. Look at the platforms and credos of these organizations and then tell me I am wrong about their Hate….

Just wait and see. If it becomes politically expedient for them to throw Latinos under the bus, they will. If it is politically expedient for them to throw Blacks under the bus, they will. Or Asians, or anyone else they need to destroy in order to assume power.

  How many of you remember the Hippies and other protesters back in the ’60s? This reminds me of the same thing. When the get finished protesting in one place they leave a filthy mess, don’t care what they are protesting, as long as they can make a bunch of noise. The Left, and Communist Party supported them the last time and they are doing the same thing again this time. A lot of them come from affluent families, and cry, saying “I won’t work for just $7.00 an hour”. Well you have to start somewhere and you damn sure can’t start at the top. I too took the oath to protect our country and the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and that oath hasn’t been retired.

I was walking near the Occupied Wall Street crowd last week. I am a white female and was cursed at and called a Wall Street Whore. They were defecating in public and urinating on themselves. They are a worthless disgrace who are against big corporations yet, have donation collection hats for new ipads. They are eating pizza for large chains, wearing name brand shirts (albeit filthy) and smoking cigarettes. Holding signs such as “I love cops who smoke pot.” And how will this change anything??

If your referring to the media as a group that searches out the facts and then desimanates this information to the public, then yes it was nice when we had that. Just think how people could make informed decisions and we might have a democracy again. But alas all we have are people who give us only the facts, sometimes distorted that support what they want us to believe. The latest was to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform … in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have elite that is above the law.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all because of public pressure.
I’m asking each addressee to forward this Email to a minimum of twenty people on their Address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
