Fox News Poll: Who is too Extreme? In the Lead? Should Palin Run?

Even as Texas Gov. Rick Perry moves into the lead as Republican voters’ preferred presidential candidate, a Fox News poll released Thursday shows that voters are more likely to view him as “too extreme” than former frontrunner Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney. In addition, most American voters — including a majority of Republicans — think former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin should stay out of the presidential race.

Perry receives the support of 26 percent of GOP primary voters in the new poll. That’s up from 13 percent in early August and enough to edge out Romney as frontrunner. Currently Romney captures 18 percent, down from 21 percent (August 7-9).

      Hi “TT”: Good post, I agree, Perry is anything but extreme. I have often times wondered about Fox News and Fox in general. When you see who owns the network it almost seems as if a certain group is playing both sides, this is not unusual for this group. Obviously the so called main stream media is no longer relevant and has become nothing more than a propaganda wing of the socialist establishment. This can be seen in the ratings.

      I find it interesting that Sara Palin has consistently high numbers in the polls, and she is not even a candidate! I too support Sara for President and have done so since November 2008. On a different note, if you should ever come to the Philadelphia area we will have to have a (beer) (scotch) or two.

            I believe you people are being directly influenced by the TV media. There are lots of avenues for news, but the TV is heavily portraying Ron Paul in this manner and it is not correct. If you study what he is saying in that we should not have tried to install the Shaw of Iran as that is when that country turned against us, rightfully so. All they want is for us to leave THEM alone, and then they would do the same in return. People that watch the TV media too much believe that the percentage of Muslim’s that just want to kill us is overwhelming. They simply want to posses nuclear bombs because all the big power do and they want to be considered a big power. I had a college friend from there and they are nice people.

            we need to clean up the mess that has gone on and get rid of the people that only use the government for their own good. we older people didn’t get a raise the past two years but get on your computers and look at how much they (the polititions) have stuffed into their pockets.

          My thought is Perry for President, Palin for VP and hope that Perry wins and appoints Paul as Federal Reserve Chairman. He can then clean up or do away with the FED. Congress then “rubber stamps” their approval. It’s gotta STOP! It will never stop until and unless enough people get educated and figure out just how “rigged” the Fed is.         The problem with Fox News is that the owners and a disproportionally high rate of the news anchors and program leaders are of the catholic faith. Not that I am intendingto start a religious fight here, but the Catholic Church is not by any measure as consistantly conservative on social and financial issues as solid evangelical and directly bible-believing faith-organizations are. Fox can support Oromney because he is not presenting with a solid belief in his faith (mormon), but Perry, Palin, and Backman are often, more often than others, critizised as being too conservative, and considered un-electable for extreme views. O”Reilly, especially, is guilty of this. Personally, I also believe that he has a problem with the thought of a woman Commander-in-Chief.

        “The Truth” and “John Galt” are quite correct. Mr. Perry is hardly too extreme. He is responding surprisingly calmly to a president that is truly extreme. There was a time in the not-too-distant past when Americans said, “Better dead than RED”. Somehow, we threw a monkey-wrench in the works and elected a RED. Are Communists extreme? Let’s put it this way…it is their policy based on their own Manifesto to outlaw God and religion. Why? Because the Communist State IS god. The STATE owns EVERYTHING and doles out crumbs to the Proletariat according to it’s whim. Those that have recently learned to ‘vote for a living’ think they will get their share of what you and I have. That simply is not true. The State will get it all. The elite Commissars will divide it up and provide crumbs for those that ‘vote for a living’.

        It is time for us to plan in case the 2012 election is stolen. Part of that plan should be what Mr. Obama hates. Cling to your guns and religion. Resist attempts to outlaw either one. Be prepared to organize your neighbors. Study defense. Stock up on necessities.

O’reilly said a couple of days ago that 90% of his listeners wanted to go green. That is a lie, and the same kind of phoney inclusive statement the democrats use in their talking points to push their agenda. “Green” energy is already a failure, with all its multi bankruptcies, despite government (tax payer-our loss) subsidies. The gas company tax write offs for equipment to drill for oil is not a subsidy!! Hannity is the only day host on Fox who knows how seriously this country is in trouble, and he is still forced to put left radical scum on like beckle and juan williams. Glenn Beck was the best host Fox will ever have and look what they did to him.

        Sounds like a winner to me. The media is trying to pick our candidates for us. The likes of Rove and the other pundits want to decide for us. If you remember Rove dismissed the tea party as a fringe group until it was proven otherwise and then he wanted to semi embrace it. I will vote republican no matter who is on the ticket but in the primary I hope Romney is eliminated. Think right now that a Perry-Palin or a Palin-Perry ticket would be a good one. I noticed on some of my emails, which I haven’t read that republicans are urging Palin not to run. To me that sounds like Rinos or liberal plants. I just pray things don’t fall apart so there will not even be an election.

          Those who castigate Ron Paul better go back and see what he really said about foreign policy. Bring the troops home, stay out of foreign alignments, build a strong defense at home, never engage in foreign wars unless attacked, and then only when congress declares war with set goals. There’s a vast difference between isolationism and non-intervention.

          Again, you are falling prey to MSM propaganda. Why do you think they are all praising Perry now?

          As far as poll numbers are concerned, if you stay away from MSM polls you will find Ron Paul leading by over 70%. Doesn’t leave much space for all the rest who are RINO’s wanting to maintain the status quo.

          Personally I think Romney should run on the democrat ticket. He’s certainly not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination.

          Get Ron Paul in and see how fast the roaches scatter!

            For many elections, Ron Paul’s followers have claimed that HE IS THE ONE. Well, his ONLY great point is his stand on finances. Otherwise, this evangelical Christian sees nothing in him to get excited about. Most of us just ignore the Paul fans. There is nothing to even comment about. We don’t hate him.       I will listen to FoxNews, but I will vote according to what I believe is best. To me, this means getting rid of Obama. I am not all that sure about Perry, and I know Romney has his own baggage, but I keep remembering that book he wrote -”No Apologies – The Case for American Greatness” – he comes across as a patriot to me. I am one of the ones who does not think Sarah should run. I truly admire her, but the media would tear her apart, again, and I don’t believe she would stand a chance. Not fair, but that’s how I see it. Personally, I like Cain, and he has something all the others don’t – the blacks could not squawk if we put another black in office, and I don’t really think skin color has anything to do with ability, anyway. (A little aside here – I believe the earthquake back East was caused by MLK rolling over in his grave at what Obama has done!) I believe we need to back whoever the GOP puts up there, in order to be sure that BHO does not get another term. And why hasn’t the GOP gone after him for citizenship status? I don’t know what it is, but what if they wanted to run one of their own who was not quite eligible? I believe a natural-born citizen’s parents must be citizens at the time of the natural’s birth, to make this a reality. In this vein of thought, I am not sure about Rubio, for all that I like him, his parents were Cuban refugees, and I don’t know if they were citizens when he was born, and Jindal’s mother is Indian – again, I don’t know if she is a US citizen, but these are things we need to know. To their credit, both of these men have said they would not accept the VP slot (they would know whether or not they are eligible.)
      Perry needs to accept and complete a survey, sent to him by one of the groups that defend the 2nd Amendment. So far, he is refusing, and if he is pro-gun, why won’t he do this? I don’t know where Romney stands on this issue, or Cain for that matter. In the meantime, I agree with Don’s post in regard to Ron Paul.
      Most important thing; EVERYBODY GET OUT AND VOTE!

        Last response to you. If Perry is a Bilderberg, he will not be in favor of the 2nd amendment. For the nation to be brought down, they must disarm us. So he will pose for photos with a hand gun and go hunting, but never sign or fill in a questionaire about the gun issue.

        If forced, he will then fill it in the way he thinks you want it filled in. But il will mean nothing. He is a politician.           Something I don’t get about FOX is that it seems like every five minute they have the gold scam commercials on. soros did the same coercion hype thing in other countries to get everyone to buy HIS gold at high prices. Then, when the price of gold bottomed out he bought it all back. He got HUGE profits from the scam.. it crushed those countires financial systems. As of recent, soros has been selling off a large but safe portion of HIS gold. Who is his target, and why is FOX airing these commercials?

            I’ve been tracking gold sales and ownership, for awhile (over 10 years). I believe there is a lot of manipulation in this market.

            Soros is a huge factor, as well as many foreign governments, foreign individuals, wealthy Americans, Central Banks and the FED.

            Most of the sales of companies like “GoldLine”, etc. are a small fraction of the actual overall gold market. These companies sell to the average small investor and are used by the big players, like Soros and others, as part of their manipulation and strategy.

            The companies, GoldLine, et al., are major sponsors for FoxNews/FoxBusiness and other News Corp. entities.

            There is no doubt in my mind that Soros had something to do with getting Glenn Beck off the air at Fox. He has powerful influence on not only Fox, but many other major media outlets.

            At least, this is my take on it. I know, you can read between the lines. :)

      I like Palin as well, and, she “shoots straight.” Perry has already challenged the federal government with much more vigor than any Republican in Congress. The “establishment” Republicans don’t like these people because they are 100% Conservative. McCain was a moron, is a moron, and plays both sides of the fence just to stay in favor with the masses. Reagan ran as a “hard line” Conservative and won very convincingly. It happens all the time. Conservatism and Capitalism is what made the United States the strong rich country it is…uh, was. Liberalism is Socialism, period. We are racing down the highway to Socialism this minute and it ain’t gonna be pretty unless we put a stop to it soon. Look closely at what is happening all around the world – Socialism is failing and has failed. There’s only so much money that you can take from “the rich” until there is no more “rich” or money…then what. You have what’s happening around the world with the economies of countries in dire straights. Wake up America, it is up to “we the people” to unite and take our country back from the commies.

        You’ve got it right WINGHUNTER. Mr. LINDBERG has swallowed a Muslim sandwich or something. I am a retired U.S. Army Nuclear Weapons Officer. More than once, I served as a Chief Instructor in one or more U.S. Army Schools. I remember a time in 1974 when I was assigned to teach Basic Electronics to a class of foreign army students. On the first day, I recognized a bit of a problem. I had 12 Iranian Army Officers and 12 Iraqi Army Officers in my class. The first day, the Iranians and Iraqis physically fought each other…they sat on extremem opposite sides of the class room. On day two, I assigned them seats and they were mixed…an Iraqi, and Iranian, an Iraqi…The fights did stop, but only after I promised to get them sent home if there was any more fighting. Daily, I found notes left here and there that said all of them would cut my head off as soon as the class ended. Very friendly folks! How do you suppose recent transplants from the land of driving camels did in my class? Do you think they could handle a volt meter or an oscilloscope? How about Ohms Law? Well, you guessed it. They couldn’t. I actually failed them but their commander convinced mine that they should be graduated. While I taught these people, I paid attention to what they said and how they said it. I read their ‘holy book’ and found it to be nothing but a manual for having a way of life that excluded EVERYONE but themselves. Even the Muslims can’t get along without killing each other. Shiites and Sunni Muslims are different because each believes that a different relative of Mohamed survived to start their religion. With a difference like that, you can see why they have to kill each other, right? RIGHT? No?

        Listen folks. When you’re looking at a Muslim, he might smile. When you’re NOT looking, he’s looking for a weapon and a chance to kill you. The Iranians want a Nuclear Weapon for ONE reason. That is to kill Israelis and Christians. If you don’t get that, you’re gonna die. Yeah, I know. You’re thinking they have no delivery system. WRONG. If you have a pickup truck, or a boat, you have a delivery system. Iran is developing a short range missile that can carry a weapon. The threat? Get the missile off our coast and launch the warhead to detonate a few thousand feet above Ohio. The Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) will devastate most of the entire country. Every computer and power system will go off-line. Yep, nearly every car and truck also depends on a computer to run.

          Sirwizard, I couldn’t have said it better. If you read their Koran, it does not advocate peace with their so-called unbelievers. Yes, they can act as though you are their friend. But, did you see any of them (peaceful Muslims) in this country stand up and condemn any of the terrible things that have been done to our country and our men in barracks, on ships, and finally on 9/11/01 in the name of Islam? They were strangely silent. They will remain so until they have enough leverage to take control, then you will see how peaceful they are!

          As a former military officer with similar experience , I back up everything you said and have been trying to alert Americans to this issue for several years through both official and unofficial channels. This insipidness in the White House is the worst danger America has faced, or should I say is Not facing up to? I have and have read the Quran and posted many atricles on Sharia. I try to convice people to get a copy and read it as many have difficulty believing that it is what it is, a plan for world domination by what ever means necessary. Liberals refuse to believe that they will be the first exterminated or enslaved by Islam.

          I recently spoke with some of our disabled vets who returned from afghanistan. These young men, 18-25 years old. The common denominator in all their stories is that they were all attacked by insurgents who were trained over the border in pakistan by their military. Their military is trained RIGHT HERE in the US on OUR BASES!

          It’s criminal that our young military personnel are put in these conditions by such an anti-American system. Their lives are forever changed due to the actions of corruption in OUR GOVERNMENT. What it comes down to is that our tax dollars are used to injure and kill our military. I am appalled!

          There was also an incident at the local commissary where an Israeli officer had bought some items. The two baggers, both arab children of arab officers flat out refused to bag the Israeli’s items. Luckily, the manager had a set and immediately fired the two baggers, telling them that this is America.

          Why do we even let these scum inside our borders, nevermind train them to kill and injury our own?!?

          These Truths need to be brought to light. And yet it’s NEVER reported on ANY of the major news networks.

        I don’t claim to be – “The Enlighten One” — but….

        I look into their backgrounds – thoroughly. I try to uncover what their Actions or Re-Actions have been to certain events, in their past – I don’t believe their words/speeches, etc…..Only their actions can tell you how they might react when major event occurs or when they are confronted with a situation that takes a REAL decision.

        I also try to analysis their Moral & Ethical beliefs….This can be very telling and it exposes their true character… Traits like, do they really believe in the Constitution, do they believe that America and Americans Come First?….Do they truly believe that all Americans are equal and should be Treated, Taxed, Judged and Protected – Equally? There are many other traits, it would take a long time to list them, but I think you get it.

        It’s all pretty much Common Sense stuff….I don’t have a magic ball….

        But – I do believe that if you take the time to properly vet someone, you will come to the right decision….I hope this helps!

      That for the moment leaves Romney, who undesirable as he is, is presidential, business savvy, and accomplished. Much as I hate to say it, his ascendancy is closely tied to something called ‘the White Horse prophecy’ in mormon circles, and that would give that particular cult an unprecedented PR boost, which they do not deserve, since their founder, Joe Smith, was Warren Jeffs without the hindrance of mass-media which so influences public opinion, and the internet. The lack of mass info during his time gave him the ability to bamboozle a few thousand people with a story practically taken out of the mohammedan play-book. This guy claimed he saw an angel (as mohammed claimed), he got some golden plates written in an in-existent language (muha-Mad got the Q’uran), and revived , then shoved polygamy down the throat of his deluded followers – as muha-Mad did as well!

      In any case, it’s quite possible Romney would make his cult unduly profit from his presidency who would quickly claim ‘legitimacy’ for their aberrant beliefs. But that aside, he would make a competent prez because of his solid business and political experience. His ‘religious’ disadvantage would be tempered by having a stellar Christian VP say, like Bachmann (who might otherwise be unpalatable to some of the independents because of what they consider is her extreme evangelical views), or Rubio, who is articulate, handsome, Catholic, and has enormous appeal to Latinos who are a huge demographic able to swing-counter the oVomit black vote!

      The Constitution and Libertarian party are ok for local elections. Until a leader comes out from those parties into the Congress and the Senate, a vote for their candidate for President is a vote for obama. If a true conservative cannot stomach the Republican candidate, then that means that you did not do your best to support the candidate you really wanted. I did not wanted McCain in the last election, but voting for anyone else would have been a vote for obama. The primaries are for the Republican Party. Support your candidate in the primary, but regardless of the outcome, as a conservative one needs to support the candidate that get chosen. I already learned my lesson when I voted for Perot. I figure that if America wanted Clinton then, they deserved him. I was wrong. obama is too much of a threat to America that he needs to
      be defeated in 2012. The Democrats are trying to feed us another RHINO like McCain for the 2012 elections. We just need to continue our debate and if any of those running has a bad baggage that needs to surface, NOW is the time to bring it out. Ron Paul has good points but his negatives are too far out. Rommey had his chance in 2008 and bowed out then, he lost his chance. Cain has good points but is not electable. There are many Americans with a lot of good ideas like Cain but do not want to run. Most of the candidates have not put out their “plan” so that most voters can see where they stand. So we can only go with what they have done in their current positions and hope they will continue in that road. We all know that the decision of who the Republican Candidate is going to be is not an easy one.

      When I cast my vote in the primaries it will be after much personal investigation on every candidate. In the primaries, I will vote forever I feel will be best for the majority..not who’s best for me personally. I will NOT listen to anyone else who tries to sway me in this. After making that vote, my conscience will be clear.

      Once the Republican Party nominates OUR candidate, I will vote for that candidate. I hope others follow suit so WE can win and rid the nation of our current socialist policy.

    I too like Sarah Palin and think she would be the best choice. But that being said, if everyone here that says they want her too really means it, and since we can’t count on any news outlet to be honest and do her justice, it now becomes incombant on us to make her message heard and to stand up and be heard with the truth. There needs to be rallies and, if necessary, protests of the lying press and their puppet masters. I talk to at least 10 people a day about how she would be good for the United States and why she is the best candidate. It is time to put actoins in gear and not just preach to the choir.

Her morals gives her guidance and as such we Americans can predict that she will make the best decisions for our country.     Oh ya, I too don’t like FOX NEWS any more……Especially Bob Beckle….The 5 might have been ok but Bob Beckle is such a argumental, obnoxious, know it all, that I stopped watching….so is Juan Williams (no not because he’s black.) …..I used to like Bill O’Rielly, but not anymore….. I get my news off the net now a days………..I think Allen West would make a good Prez……..Rubio VP…….

    Fox News has a new agenda, elect anyone as long as it’s not a Woman. Bill O’reilly is prime example of this, he diminishes Sarah Palin abilites every chance he gets. When it comes to Michelle Bachman, he always cast her in the dim light as well. This puts both of the women in a disadvantage in running a successful campaign to completion because of the other networks (MSM) don’t speak well of them because they are conservatives. It’s like a double whammy for them. Ms Palin and Ms Bachman will never get the traction that two conservatives really deserve because they were born female. What a shame. Either one of them would be twice as good as President as any other republican running and 10 times Obama.

    Now this is
    the Living Bible:

    His name is Bill. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it,jeans, and no shoes.
    This was literally his wardrobe for his entire
    four years of college.

    He is brilliant. Kind of profound and very, very bright. He became a Christian while attending college.

    Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conservative church. They want to develop a ministry to the students but are not
    sure how to go about it.

    One day Bill decides to go there. He walks in with no shoes, jeans, hisT-shirt, and wild hair. The service has already started and so Bill starts down the aisle looking for a seat.

    The church is completely packed and he can’t find a seat. By now, people are really looking a bit uncomfortable, but no one says anything.

    Bill gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit, and when he realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right on the carpet.

    By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is thick.

    About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Bill.

    Now the deacon is in his eighties, has silver-gray hair, and a three-piece suit.. A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very courtly. He walks with a cane and, as he starts walking toward this boy, everyone is saying to themselves that you can’t blame him for what
    he’s going to do.

    How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand some college kid on the floor?

    It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy.
    The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man’s cane.
    All eyes are focused on him.. You can’t even hear anyone breathing. The minister can’t even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has to do.

    And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With great difficulty, he lowers himself and sits down next to Bill and worships with him so he won’t be alone.

    Everyone chokes up with emotion.
    When the minister gains control, he says,
    ‘What I’m about to preach, you will never remember. What you have just seen, you will never forget.’

    ‘Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some people will ever read!’

As for Sarah or any other woman candidates, a female president at this time is not practical because the moslums have No respect for any woman and would ignor anything she has to say. Other than that I would vote for her in a heart beat! That leaves Romney the clown….no one in their right mind would even consider him. But then again Odummer got elected?

      The only thing that radical Muslims respect is force. There is no “dealing with the devil” and the (radical) Muslims are the Devil incarnate. Ask the Israelis. How many of them do they want to kill? If you don’t know this answer, you also don’t know how many Christians they want to kill. Hint: They refer to Israel as the “Little Satan” They refer to America as the “Great Satan”.

          Sarah didn’t negotiate with the Alaskan Oil Companies. She told them! They threatened to walk and she went in and locked them out! They then decided to sit down and perhaps discuss the situation instead of threatening her.

    The best for America, Israel and the whole world is to elect Rick Perry the President of the United States. It will finally bring jobs to the working people, they deserve. It will reassure our friends and show our enemies, where their place is.     I’ve been reading with interest the comments thus far in this writing. I have an idea and wonder if we would dare ask Ron Paul, Sarah Palin, and all the other true Constitutionalists to hold a summit of reconciliation of their individual ideas and ideals? How many of them would set aside their own agendas and instead focus on removing Obama from power and returning America to taxpaying Americans? Trust me, I’m 64 years of age and have voted in my life dozens of times for presidents, senators, congressmen and congresswomen, etc. I have learned first that it is nonsense to “vote for the lesser of two evils.” That idea means one is double-minded and has lost focus on the need for principled cooperation on some matters and stern holding the line behavior on many others. No candidate will ever meet each and every litmus test for the office of President of the United States…be very afraid if anyone ever convinces you that you and so-and-so are in 100% agreement. Hell, about 10% of the time I don’t agree with myself over a matter once I learn specific facts and dispel half-truths I’ve heard or thought I’ve heard.

    My sincere hope is that for the sake of our society and our nation that the true and steadfast, and uncompromising and principled American patriots might truthfully say from their hearts “I regret that I have but one life to give to my country.” I can’t deal with RHINOs anymore. I won’t support anything that is contrary to my own principles, and I will support the candidate that comes closest to what I believe will help insure the survival of this nation and provide a decent future for future generations of Americans. I seriously doubt any one candidate will meet my too-often-ill-conceived and judgemental measure of integrity and right thinking and actions any more than 7o to 80% of the time. If you believe you will ever find a candidate that is PERFECT for the job of President of the USA, please pray that his or her good and decent name and authority is that of Jeshua and not of Hussein Obama. To do anything less is futile and destructive to you, your loved ones, your nation and your flag as well as contrary to the will of your God-man Jeshua.

I meant to say, in a nutshell: Vote only for the person that comes closest to what you in your own heart know is right…even if or when you also know you will personally face some degree of pain in the taking of such important steps to heal our nation. Personally, I like Palin and Paul, and I hope the other true patriots will step up and accept appointments to the offices now occupied by the minions of Obama. I pray God will hear all our prayers and permit His will and not just our own be done.

    We’d all be better off if we realize we must vote for anyone BUT Obama. Be advised that a new website has come up trying to convince Donald Trump to run as a Third Party Candidate.
