The budget Obama proposed in February would raise taxes by $2 trillion on the richest 2 percent of Americans over the next decade. But it proposed $8.7 trillion in new spending and a total of $26 trillion in deficit spending in that same time period.
The President doesn’t believe government should get smaller or cost less. He thinks it should get significantly larger and cost a great deal more. And he thinks he can convince you to support this by tricking you into thinking Warren Buffett and his friends will pay for it all. They won’t.
