Teachers take students out of school to protest
Remember the good ole’ days when teachers would just abandon their posts and bring students along to protests? Even better, when those protests were pro-union? In Wisconsin right now, teachers have brought students long with them to protest the governor’s recent moves to stifle collective bargaining.
But, of course, the students understand what they’re protesting, right? Wrong. When asked why they were out with the protestors instead of in school, students responded, “Our teachers brought us here today.” The student added, “We’re trying to stop whatever it is this dude is doing.”
So clearly, they knew what this “dude” was up to and what the issues were.
